My opinion about modding a game is, in real life you get a training before going to battle, so why not modding a game, u simple don’t get send to a mission with a pocketknife and a peace of rope, you’re not McGiver, who would build a tank out of a tree and a peace of iron, just using his knife.
I mod in a game weapons to the max and all other i have to earn, so ranking up is done by playing the game as it is ment to be, so no cheating there 
Welcome! All of those games listed are great especially the Assassins Creed series. I agree that you should play games however you find fun which includes modding.
