Hello there. I’m new to this achievement unlocker thing. I have been looking at previous posts about this but I want to get up-to-date opinions instead of ones from 2-3 years ago. Just in case if there was any patching/updates or something.
I’m in a achievement war with a friend (first to 50,000 wins) and we have been doing this for years and years and I just want to put it to an end. My current GS is 37,375 and I want to slowly boost it up a little at least to give me a better lead. I heard doing offline unlocking is the safer way to go, but I want to make sure that I do it right and not get banned from XBL. Any suggestions on how much GS I can unlock without it being obvious?
Should I unlock achievements for games I don’t own or play anymore?
There is no “here is a safe limit” type deal. Just average your GS you earn over a week or so then divide it by 7 days. I would say that is about the most you should unlock any day and if you are going to do it offline you should probably do it over night so you don’t log off then come back on 5 minutes later with 800 more gs.

Unless Horizon allows you to move a game to the top of your last played list, I wouldn’t do it for games I no longer own. Eventually someone will pick up on it and before you know it, where a reset of your gamerscore is more a slap on the wrist, the profile can be suspended permanently.
