Apple Speaks Out Against U.S. Government

I thought I should post this because I actually have strong feelings about this.
Like most people, I don’t want the government spying on me but to be honest I am not a vocal person about these issues. This is one of the most important articles you will see in awhile. I’m not just being dramatic either. This is huge and people need to see it.

Apple - one of the largest, most influential and profitable companies in the world (an American company) - publicly spoke out against the U.S. government and basically told them that their actions are unacceptable.

This is something people may skim over and ignore but it’s really big. Apple is not a vocal company when it comes to stuff like this. They like to keep their nose out of it, but not this time.

I’m not a big Apple fan but this is awesome and I appreciate them for doing this.

Great read. Props to Apple for sticking up for the people.

I have no issues with Apple sticking to their guns regarding the “backdoor” access. I don’t get why the feds would push this issue so hard considering Apple gladly complies with subpoenas and warrants(even though they have too). This would be a huge security hazard if Apple created something for them and then it somehow got leaked or hacked.

It’s not that I even worry about the backdoor being potentially leaked or hacked. But the sole fact that our government would have a way of getting into any of our phones is a scary thought.

If you guys haven’t seen Citizen Four, it’s a documentary about Edward Snowden, I highly recommend watching it. It touches on why giving up any of our privacy is a potentially dangerous thing.
