If I start from an existing saved data in normal offline play, the game stops and force quits after a minute or two.

I have run in to this as well.

I have modded this game on steam and need to be able to launch through a custom launcher.

Yes I have added the custom launcher exe but wemod ā€œWe’re having trouble starting or finding your opened gameā€. But when I launch the game through the custom launcher then try and start wemod it say the game has to be started through wemod.

This is a huge pain right now…

Is there a solution for this yet? I am having the same trouble. Already beat the game. I want to run it modded with wemod but there is no clear way to do so. Please help.

I can’t use the trainer for the game. It keeps saying ā€œWe’re having trouble starting or finding your gameā€ and i’ve tried every possible method. What do I do?

I think this is because AC6 has that ā€œEasy Anti Cheatā€ (EAC). Launching the game through WeMod has some kind of workaround to launch the game in Offline Mode and disable EAC. EAC also creates a lot of lag.

EDIT: Current hypothesis is that it’s related to increasing the damage multiplier. Those ships take damage throughout the mission by NPC attacks, and I think those attacks were prematurely destroying the ships, which in turn removed the event triggers to proceed with the mission. Similarly, because the damage multiplier also applies to enemy attacks against NPCs you’re supposed to protect like the Xylem Tower, best way to get through those missions is to turn off the damage multiplier and turn up your defense multiplier (if you need it). Also make sure the One Hit Kills mod is OFF. Maybe these notes can be added to those hover notes?

I’m not sure if this is because of WeMod or using any specific mod, but the second-to-last mission for the Fires ending, ā€œBreak through the Karman lineā€, doesn’t seem to work properly when you try to replay it for the S Rank. The mission’s event triggers seem broken. After the first three ships, the area is supposed to expand so you can reach the next ships and it never does. If you drop out of bounds, you can fly to some of the other ships but not the ones you’re supposed to destroy (they’re already blown up) and taking out the rest of the fleet doesn’t trigger the boss fight.

This could be a regular bug, but I’ve only seen 1 or 2 forum threads elsewhere with this issue from 2 years ago, no mention of modding, and no fix provided.

Has this had a work around, running into the same issue at the minute?
