I’ve linked the game .exe within the “Fix” space, and started the trainer and it popped up a message saying “The trainer is for the Uplay version. It will work with the Steam version, but not completely.” So, yeah. I’m just facepalming at this point. 
and you’re facepalming because?
Just that if I had tried the trainer beforehand I would already know it was for the Uplay version and wouldn’t have requested a Uplay version.
I’m going through and testing all the “Steam Version” trainers of the Assassin’s Creed games with the Uplay version of the games. This “Steam” trainer is definitely working with the Uplay version of AC4, all the cheats activated and no crashes occurred.
Please help after a day of playing the trainer worked fine but suddenly when i load the game it freeze at the ubisoft logo. any help is much apreciated. edit: i use uplay
Have you tried restarting your system? I had a similar problem when using the trainer but it went away after restart.
the trainer doesnt work for me, it keeps saying ‘we’re having trouble starting or finding your opened game’ although i’ve already located the exe file???
Spam the play key
STN, When You Can, Can you Add An “Avoid Fail Condition” cheat, like if a mission requires no detection, you can still be detected without fail (ex: assassin camp with Kidd)

ah, nevermind, a simple wemod update fixed it
Using the cheats outside of the simulation crashes the game.
Whenever I play via Wemod, even if not using cheats, when i go out of the Animus, the game crashes, it even deleted my save once.
Did the game have an update recently? Which cheats?
Even if i don’t use cheats, aslong as wemod’s open, it crashes.
Edit: i mean by only “play”, not using cheats
I’m using Standard Edition, no DLC
ALso theres a chance i randomly crash sometimes
