Avira found an "infected" file (False Positive)

i updated wemod yesterday 26-4-2020 and didn’t encounter any problem. today i wanted to play torchlight 2 with cheats and avira went berserk saying Trainer_29364_0f1ecaa296.dll is an infected file and will not load it, i cant even put it on the ignore list.

Hello and welcome to the community.

This is just a false positive, which happens sometimes with trainers regardless of where you get them from.

Please make sure the following items are added as an exception in your antivirus:

  • Update.exe
    You’ll find this: C:\Users\YOUR_NAME\AppData\Local\WeMod

  • WeModAuxiliaryService.exe
    You’ll find this: C:\Users\YOUR_NAME\AppData\Local\WeMod\YOURCURRENTWEMODVERSION\resources\app.asar.unpacked\static\unpacked\auxiliary

Then try to add the trainer as an exception too. You can find it in: C:\Users\YOUR_NAME\AppData\Roaming\WeMod\App\trainers

If this does not resolve the issue, try out the troubleshooting under the “Anti-Virus” header in this post here: Wemod failed loading the cheats into your game.

Let us know if this helps so we can assist others with the issue. I’ll also pass this report onto our developer.
