Could you explain something for me? I’m currently not interested in using the mod because I want the interactions to be natural the way the game intends. My only worry is that Astarion will get fed up with me being Good/Neutral and leave my party. I was kinda hoping WeMod would have a cheat not to maximize the companion’s approval but be able to raise it or not lose any points as long as it was turned on. My main concern is losing Astarion for not doing enough bad/selfish things, so if he ever got low and I could just switch him back up to neutral with the trainer that would be great.
But this mod could end up being what I will need if I do get to the point where Astarion does decide to leave. Although I’m hoping not to use it.
Here is what I don’t get on the Nexus page it says things like
Petting “Scratch” usually gives a +1 approval from all party members.
With Neutral Evil this will be set to 0
With True Neutral it will be 0
With Neutral Good it will be 1
With Chaotic Good it will be 1
Killing everyone in the groove gives a -10 approval from everyone
Neutral evil => -10
Neutral good => 0
True neutral => 0
Chaotic Good => 10
How exactly does petting Scratch which normally gives 1+ approval from everyone, be done in a way that would be considered evil? I don’t know what the groove is. I’m very early into the game but I can see how that would not be looked upon in a favorable light by everyone. But this says if it’s done in a chaotic good way then I can get 10 points, but if I do it in an evil way then -10. How would not killing everyone in the groove not be considered evil? How do you do it in a chaotic good way?
I guess the dream mod or cheat that I want is to currently play the game without them. And then should I get to a point where I will lose Astarion if I keep doing too many good things. Is to then be able to just get him back to neutral. Or not be able to lose any more points once I have the mod installed. Get him back to netural. And then turn it off if need be.
The way you explained it in your comment seemed simple enough where neutral or positive -1 becomes +1 meaning that as long as you don’t do something evil. You will raise the companion’s number. Which would be useful to have as a backup for Astarion. But you are 100% sure that is all there is? What is it about what is written on the nexus page that I’m misinterpreting?
Reposting, same issue, for both DLX11 and Vulcan none of the toggled mods work, nor any of the stat increase ones. The only thing that doesn’t automatically reset seems to be the XP Multiplier, but I don’t even know if it works.
[CRITICAL EDIT:
I don’t know if this is written anywhere and I simply didn’t see it, or it’s written nowhere.
THE LARIAN LAUNCHER MUST BE CLOSED
If you do not close the launcher then nothing will work.
I do not know about the functionality of the mods, but they will all be enabled if you close the larian launcher.
I updated my game, so after I launch game with dx11 I close Larian launcher, and after loading my save I activate wemod and after everything works fine for me :3
I am currently having full function of the toggled mods after
1 start game from steam
2 start game through launcher
3 alt tab out and close the launcher (i was not doing this part)
4 start up wemod
I tried this and it worked. I now have my lvl 12 wizard tiefling back! Anyone wondering make sure you close out of the launcher before you hit play for wemod. It takes a little bit for it to work
it does mate! when you go to split thieves tools and other materials, you have to split less than half for some odd reason for it to work. whereas gold if you have 100 and split 99 from it, you will have 100 gold pile and 99 gold pile
