Baldur's Gate 3 Cheats and Trainer for Steam

The stats function have been broken the last two days now (if you go back and look in the Discusion) It’s after it was changed from editing all characters to only the last chosen one (stupid change in the first place if you ask me) If you click the history tap on the training you can see the updates to the trainer and also chose which one you want to use. If you roll back to the one before the update two days ago it will work just fine

That is, in order for STATS to work, you need to start a NEW GAME???

@complexmind51 Both worked for me this way. I tried it out on the dark urge, or whatever it’s name is, and a custom, and it worked both times.

@PreacherSana I started a new game for a premade and custom, and it worked. Trying it in an old game isn’t possible for me, since the older version of the trainer was used in that game, and it worked for the main character only, and I used it. So, not sure, but all I can say is try. I would recommend trying it when first loading the game, so the stats were not used yet. That’s how I got it to work, but if you load an older save, just make sure the stats are all at 0 before loading it. That’s what worked for me. Hope this helps.

OMG youre an EFFING SAINT, rolling back fixed my issue!!! @Lakitty

Love the current trainer. Can we get a better ALT that highlights everything?

edit: never mind

Glad it helped  Buuuut I can’t really take credit for it. @SarenDracul_VT was the one whom suggested it to me further back in the thread  So all credit go to that person

Not to look a gift horse in the mouth when I was the one who early on asked for approval cheat. I’m thankful and hoping I don’t have to use it. Just wondering is there a way where you could increase each characters approval level if you want to so lets say Astarion is about to leave but I don’t want the rest of the party to reach max. If it’s not possible to do it in a slider way of adding approval points. Can you add something that would make it possible to have Astarion just at neutral or whatever I’d wish any spesific character to be.

If it’s too much work and can’t be done totally understand, I’m thankful I don’t have to worry about any longer losing a party member so I’ll take having this as a back up just in case.

And thank you so much for taking it into consideration and adding an approval cheat at all.

If you have 100 gold and split the gold into 50 you get to keep the 100 gold and add 50, then you just do that as the numbers gets bigger and you never have to worry about money again if that is how you want to play.

Not saying how you should play but having unlimited spells would break the game in that it would cheat you out of content since you are meant to long rest every 1 or 2 battle to continue your companions stories in the camp.

This worked for me. No issues with the prior version of the trainer. Thanks for the heads up

Thaks for the cheats. One hit kills would be a suggestion for an addition to the cheats but overall its great!

unlimited illithid worms or whatever they are called would be nice, ive tried it with cheat engine but it only changed the number i couldnt use them

Yeh for anyone that can’t get the stat editor to work for the MC. Just thanking again the people that suggested rolling back to a previous version of the editor. I’m hoping by starting a new character and editing before finding any other party members i can just have my edited MC and leave the NPCs alone. And thanks for all the hard work author

For anyone that can’t get the stat edits to work, are you making sure you double-click on the character (or portrait)? If I click on the character or portrait only once, it wouldn’t work. I used the mod, double-click the portrait (make sure the character says a line of dialogue), quick save then load and it worked flawlessly.

Also, if you wish to do it for multiple characters, it seems to work better if you edit the amount ot stat change when you would swap characters. For example, if I select my character to have 5 extra charisma, I can do it just fine. I alter the amount by reducing the mod to for, then back to 5, select Shadowheart Quicksave and load, and it works.

I’ve done my editing on my MC but i can test if your method works. My issue was it worked for every other party member EXCEPT my custom MC. Tried all intructions numerous times over last 2-3 days. People kept flagging up here that we were just doing it wrong.

First thing that worked was using the older version (although it effected all of my characters). Got round this by starting a new game. Wasn’t too far in anyway.

I had even rolled back my nvidia driver so i could boot up vulkan and try it on that. Was pretty annoying tbh. Definitely think it’s an issue with the current version rather than all of us doing it wrong. BUT there is a workaround so I’m happy  .

@Stu-1 I was experiencing this same issue earlier today, I got to Lae’zel and hoped that would fix the issue based on reading the tooltip. What made it work was I just increased/decreased a stat and bam it worked. I confirmed with save states that it worked with both increasing and decreasing.

I attached a screenshot of a whacky but honestly understandable issue when using the experience multiplier. I am level 4 and when I swapped Gale for Wyll it gave Wyll nearly 30k experience, I have it set at 5.0 times experience gain. With the recent mechanic (I suppose that is a good thing as any to call it) where it pushes experience to your companions to ensure they are all the same level as you it doesn’t surprise me the mod would just flat out multiply it. I am getting the correct amount of combat experience, however now every single character out levels me like crazy. I wasn’t planning on keeping this character and was testing out builds anyway but I figured I would still bring this to your attention.

Honestly, I tried. I tried increasing and decreasing. Start game. Move around. Hit play on wemod. Then:

I tried changing stats. clicking my main. clicking someone else. clicking back to my main. save and load. nothing.

I tried clicking on my main first then changing the stats and THEN changing character and back to my main. saving and loading. Nothing

I tried doing it at camp or in the wilderness. I tried with only my MC in party. I tried with someone in my party then dismissing them before the save and load step. I tried DX11. I tried vulkan. I was trying for days.

It worked first time for my NPC characters using the method described in this thread. Repeatedly. Just not for my custom main character. So either the activation is different for the other characters as it is for a custom main character? Or I managed to consistently only make an error in using the mod ONLY with my main character but not for other ones? Or something was going wrong with the table…?

I honestly feel like it’s just not working for some people. I don’t see any reason I should be able to follow the instructions correctly for 5-6 characters but not for the same one repeatedly.

Anyway I used the workaround as I said and I didn’t plan on modding any other character stats so I’m good lol. I’m either wrong or this will eventually get fixed by the author.

@Stu-1 That is really odd and frustrating to say the least I am sure, I am glad you at least found a work around.

Editing stats works on Origin characters(did it multiple times no issue) but not on custom MC or hirelings from Withers.
