Retailer Best Buy has announced a pretty nice Back to School deal where you can save big on a new TV and an Xbox One. Beginning this coming Sunday, August 9, shoppers can pick up the Samsung 40-inch 1080p Smart HDTV and a new Xbox One together for just $500.
The TV right now sells for $430 and new Xbox Ones go for $350, meaning you’ll save about $280 through the limited-time promotion. This deal rolls out Sunday and runs for a period of one week, ending August 15.
Best Buy is aiming this deal at college students.
“It’s the perfect college student deal, as a gaming console like the Xbox One is a college essential and a 40-inch TV is a great size for a dorm room,” the retailer said in a statement.
This has been over the Internet the past few days and even had a few customers come in and ask about it. Seems too good to be true seeing as that’s a $70 Xbox one if you look at it that way
Haven’t found anything directly from best buy and none of my managers knew about this at all so That’s my knowledge on it
I really hope it’s true since this will give me more motivation to buy one.
I googled for a source and found none, but I saw that a lot of Websites were mentioning this, i.e. Forbes, Polygon, etc. Forbes said that the link would go live Aug 9th :3. So one more day.
Lmao that’s one of the predicaments I have in deciding whether I should actually be buying the Xbox One. Like I still need a new PC cause of my BSOD issue that has returned, but then Xbox , and then soon new game releases like Halo Wars 2.
I NEED HELP! I’ve tried downloading and/or installing HORIZON for over an hour now and nothing! I get to the “horizon setup” and click it…and nothing! Nothing tries to download or pop up. please help! It’s very frustrating!
Please don’t hijack threads, guys. Start a new thread or post in the Horizon Support & Bugs section.
Aeroman07, for your problem try right clicking on the Horizon setup, go to properties, look for the Unblock button near the bottom and click it, now click Apply and then Ok. It should now install for you when you try again.
while sitting on a train from work into dublin city center here in ireland planning to buy an xbox one… i googled best prices and saw this 500$ for a few games a console and a bad ass tv… in USA…I then spent 400 euro (more than 400$) on just a console on its own…no games no tv…then bought 2 games for 50 each…
He’s giving a hypothetical, you ho’. But yeh I agree, no one would buy a TV for $400 when they could do what exactly what you said, I mean I’d still try to do it, and if that doesn’t work just flip it for less on craigslist cause I don’t need the TV.
Also, the deal applies in store. Saw this on Reddit -
I’m not trying to split-hairs here and I could be missing something, but why could the TV just be sold with the warranty provided from Best Buy? Just ask for two receipts then Aden keeps one for the console then passes the other on to the new owner of the TV?!
