It crashes the game when I try to enable “One hit kills” cheat.
Other cheats switch off immediately.
Hey my infinite ammo (F5) isn’t working. My ammo depletes like normal. Any fix?
@LocalDegenerate - You actually CAN complete the mission. You just have to ignore the quest telling you to keep collecting, and go to a U-vent and create the infusion. It’ll advance the quest to where you need to use the infusion.
@CrazyCarnage101 - I’ve noticed this occasionally happening in the midst of a mission. More noticeable in the challenge rooms. Toggle on-off usually fixes it. Additionally, accidentally hitting reload with the shotgun with the code on causes a glitch where the shotgun can’t be fired until you hit reload again. Particularly annoying if you’re holding the shotgun and trying to interact with something while in combat (hacking turrets, security bots in combat for example).
As some users have said, I strongly recommend against using the infinite items cheat as it also fills your « inventory » with key items, preventing you from advancing. This can be seen at a few locations. The earliest one being Steinman’s key that you can’t actually pick up as the game thinks you already have it, but you still can’t open the emergency lock, effectively softlocking you.

Buggy trainer, which can cause irreversible save softlocks if you aren’t careful. Don’t use Unlimited Items. Unlimited Ammo is also quite buggy, to the point that it’s not worth using either.

Agree. Unlimited items should freeze the number of current clip, thats all.
Also one hit kills do not work either.

hi, i just started bioshock remasted for the first time and up until i get to the silverwing department part, and i’m at the part with the bees, my game keeps crashing, its done it like 4 times now, which is a shame because i was just starting to get into the game.
does anyone know what the issue is here?
yeah unlimited ammo isn’t really working for me either. I noticed the bullet count decreasing but once it got down to the lowest amount, it stopped decreasing. However, if you then reload your gun you’re at zero ammo (or if you swap to a different ammo and back). Which wouldn’t be an issue if the game didn’t flash ‘reload gun’ on your screen forever.
Having issues with launched or game crashing when using mod, also unlimited ammo doesnt seem to work.

Using unlimited items basically got me stuck. I have to pick something up but I can’t, I just get that I can’t carry them anymore despite only having one of them.
Restarting game without unlimited items doesn’t help

If you’re referring to the area I think you are - I think you need to enter some sort of elevator after collecting the item (check a walkthrough).
If so - The game has built-in debugging features, like No-Clipping through walls (ie, to clip through the elevator door that won’t open because you cannot collect the item - if I remember correctly, been a few years since I played the game), but you have to edit the game files to activate it.

Close the game. Look in the game folder for a file called
defuser.ini. Make a copy of this and put it somewhere safe outside of the game directory as a back-up, just in case. -
Open the
defuser.inifile that is in the game directory in a text editor like Notepad - not your back-up. -
Search for the word “ghost” in the file. I believe it is under a header labeled “[Developer]” or similar in the file. This is the no-clip tool that the game developers used for debugging.

Next to this word, you will need to enter a keybinding. For example, “F10=ghost” or whatever key you’re not using for something else.

Launch the game, load your save and press the hotkey that you bound the Ghost debugging command to.
I cannot recall if the elevator (again, if I’m thinking of the correct area) works automatically after entering it, or of you’d need to also set a hotkey for the “Fly” command (which was used by the developers to take pretty scenic screenshots of the game) in the defuser.ini file too.

If something goes wrong, just delete the defuser.ini file that you edited and put the backup you copied into the game folder.
as of 18 oct 2025 these cheats don’t work every time i try to use them it crashes the game plz fix
