Borderlands Getting Backwards Compatibility On Xbox One

The original Borderlands is among the games that will be included in the Xbox One backwards compatibility update coming in November. Members of the Xbox One Preview program can try it out starting today.

All DLC for Borderlands, plus your saved game files, add-ons, and achievements, will be carried over.

Xbox One backwards compatibility was announced during this year’s E3, with its launch date revealed at Gamescom. Xbox 360 discs will not run natively in the Xbox One console, but instead trigger a download for an Xbox One-compatible file.

Phil Spencer recently expressed interest in adding backwards compatibility for original Xbox games as well, though nothing has been confirmed yet.
