Can't sign in any longer

I have changed my gamertag but it no longer let’s me sign in. Have I gotten banned? Or do I just need to re-download it?

If you changed your gamertag on the Xbox 360, you will need to delete your gamertag from your xbox and recover it.

Delete your profile from your 360’s storage device and then download it from Live.

On your Xbox 360 Dashboard, scroll all the way to the right, go to settings, system, storage, and select profiles and delete your profile from there. Then once that is deleted, press the center button on your controller and press x to download a profile from Xbox Live. Once you have entered the correct login information, you will be able to download your profile.
