So guys what’s everyone’s first impressions of the game. To those of you who are playing did it live up to the hype it received? I recently just got home from school and I’m about to start playing the game now.
Also here’s two pics of my ghost edition everything inside is awesome
Yes, there have been a lot of people experiencing server issues; bound to with the game just releasing.
For more, easier acquire-able, information regarding Destiny I highly recommend checking out/following the Reddit - Destiny page. (has had a lot of threads already created regarding the issues/concerns in which people on here are experiencing/asking)
PvP 3/10. Would’ve gave it a 4/10 if they didn’t adopt battlefield 4s’ old netcode.
Also Bungies biggest mistake is putting you up against players that already put in decades into the game. People have unlocks and upgrades that you can’t even escape.
I don’t know, but I probably have to get used to it. I will have to change my playstyle from depending on skill to depending on power-ups.
Playing against players who unlocked a heap of over powered weapons against your level 7 body armor and weapons.
(Bungie put the fair rank match in Halo 3, why not Destiny?)
Besides buffs like faster aiming or more ammo to hold there are no levels in the crucible every weapon does the same damage. Net code i have no idea what that is and there is team chat I thought? Wouldn’t know I’m always in party
#1.) I’ve been watching people stream Destiny since it released and I have yet to see anyone struggle in PvP because of issues similar to BF4. So, you might have to elaborate on the matter for me understand where you’re coming from…
#2.) First off, PvP (at least in the Crucible) is all even; each class of weapon is allowed to do “X” amount of damage. Second, Bungie had said multiple times prior to the game releasing that the game is going to be about gear rather than level; not in that exact forum, but along the same lines. With that said, one must get the gear to compete…that’s how it is with majority of shooters. (ex: Look at Battlefield, case closed.)
Plus, after watching my friend play the game for hours, it doesn’t seem as if getting decent gear is that hard. Granted, he has been doing nothing but PvE rather than PvP, but he hasn’t been forced to grind so he can return to a location, just with better gear. (ex: He found 5/5 golden chests on the Moon and earned himself a few pieces of rare armor.)
#3.) Again, similar to question two, why would one go straight into PvP knowing the game is going to start you off with very weak weapons? (Even if you didn’t participate in the Alpha/Beta, you could have read multiple articles about the game being heavily based around gear.)
#4.) I know the game doesn’t have the greatest chat system, but I’m sure Bungie is going to be addressing the “problem” in time, you just have to give them some more…the game just released and I’m sure they had their hands full fixing things that needed fixing thanks to the Beta. (After the Beta had expired a lot of people were asking if they were going to change the in-game chat function because of it being so horrible…they said they had received every ones complaints and were working on a solution.)
I’m not trying to come down on you or anything, but I hate seeing people trash games hours/days after release because of something they just aren’t accustom to. (ex: Having to play the story prior to playing the multiplayer.) Again, I’m not trying to be that person, but you should just give it some more time. Play through the story, earn yourself some better gear, and than retry what you don’t like.
