I’m still not satisfied with that update nor is most of the destiny community, i don’t see many people on LFG sites saying that you NEED Gjallarhorn this bs only 1/5 people does that i myself would not require Gjallarhorn nor any weapon else but nerfing Gjallarhorn? heck that would make people require a full G-horn fireteam cause it won’t do the same amount of damage anymore, Unlike now you can have a fireteam of 2 Gjallarhorns and destroy atheon in 2 teleports, you can have a fireteam that has 1 Gjallarhorn and you can destroy crota’s shield in 2 rockets, Nerfing Gjallarhorn is gonna make things worse trust me.
Hey, just like majority of the Destiny community right now, I too don’t agree with some of these changes, but, by sitting back and trying to understand the majority rather then my own self, I can understand why some of these changes came to mind. (ex: People requesting only those with Gjallarhorn to complete a certain piece of content because it is the hardest hitting weapon within the game.)
…you won’t find many people requesting for this weapon specifically because enemies like Atheon, Crota, or Skolas can be killed with other weapons now that we are above level or their base health has been decreased. (Prior to POE - Lvl. 35 Skolas being changed, you would want to do as much damage as possible so you wouldn’t have to worry about the mines while trying to defend yourself against an endless limit of adds.) (That’s also why Titans - Defenders played such a heavy role when Skolas was first released.)
Overall, there are a lot of threads being posted and shared via r/DestinyTheGame that I’ve read that make some sense into the different matters, but until one reads those detailed posts you’re just going to continue to see Bungie as the enemy rather then the friend. (ex: The Ice Breaker may not be as broken as everyone is making it out to be.)
I’ve always been supporting Bungie, But this time they seriously messed up… after the Skolas no burn update i no longer use Gjallarhorn on Skolas i use a Fatebringer, Ice Breaker, Hunger Of Crota so Gjallarhorn isn’t something required in any kind of way only scrubs who can’t beat the ****ing boss would have to have a full Gjallarhorn fireteam, what i mean is Gjallarhorn does a massive amount of damage now when it gets nerfed people WILL actually have to gather a full Gjallarhorn fireteam to do the same amount of damage 3 Gjallarhorns do now.
Guys it’ll be ok, So many new games that are coming out in the up coming months including Fallout 4. Just let Destiny rip and move on.
