Been playing 90hours, no problem so far, sitll having fun in coop, and pvp. yeah, maybe i was playing with other “cheater”, but i can still join my friends who don’t cheat.

Been Playing Offline with 100% drop.
was online with a friend on a different day, got invaded and we died.
afterwards we couldnt see each others signs anymore, even with our password. im hearing the new update bugged signs.
i cant play with friends it seems, i only see dueling signs and have been unable to see summon signs.
yes i know how it should work. it had been working fine moments ago.
no notification on fromsofts end about me doing anything wrong.
tldr there is a bug with summons rn or i got a shadowban for something. opinions?
(either 100% drop or connection issues during invasions (had a few disconnections from bad wifi) )

shadowban, using a modified character online regardless of what cheat you used youll get shadowbanned, best to have a second character that you dont use cheats on for online play
Hey, will using God Mode get someone soft banned? I only actually want to use it for 1 boss, because I’m sick of the time I’ve spent on it. 117 hours in the game and probably 20 of those have been trying to fight these damn Twin Gargoyles.
Same problem I’m having. I’ve never played online, just updated the game and now it won’t load up.
It launches for me idk I have eac disabled. But the cheats aren’t activating when I hit the keybinds
Hey, I’m gonna try to be as helpful as I can, you can choose to or not to believe what I say, regardless though, mod at your own risk.
Elden Ring has an extremely similar anti-cheat to the previous 'Souls games, in that, regardless of what you do cheat-wise (inf. HP/FP/100% drop), if you’ve gone into an online session and connected to somebody else, they’ve most likely already caught you and made record of you in their systems.
What usually happens is the game right away detects that the stats (And not just literal character stats like strength, but stats like amount of enemies killed, amount of runes acquired, etc) have been illegally altered and have flagged your account for reset. This does NOT result in a game ban or VAC ban on steam, but you will, as per their terms of use when booting the game, lose access to the game for 180 days, and will need to manually delete your modded character save within that time or else it’ll just ban you again. As far as some friends and I have figured, the game hasn’t adopted a ‘shadowban’ feature where you’ll still be able to play, just with other shadowbanned players, but instead will straight up lock you out of the game for modding your stats in any way.
Don’t get me wrong, there’s always a chance that you’re completely fine and in another week nothing will happen to you. Your best bet will and will always be to play in offline mode and disable EAC, that will provide the best possible results.

Hey, while it’s possible that it’s simply character based and, when deleting said character it’ll allow you to play again, I think it’s much more likely that it’s going to be account based. As per the terms of online use, if banned, you’ll be unable to play the game at all for 180 days, during which you’ll need to have gone into your files and deleted the character. If the 180 day period ends and you still have the character with modded stats, the ban hammer will come back around for you another time, extending the ban period.
If you REALLY want to cheat, I’d suggest disabling your EAC and running the game in offline mode (Accessed through multiplayer settings in-game) and just not touching the online functionality of the game at all.

A game ban on your Steam account is possible if you’re caught by EAC while cheating in another player’s instance. I do believe that illegally editing character stats and outright cheating in multiplayer with infinite HP/FP, etc are separate offences, and being caught by EAC would probably permanently ban you from the game.

if you read the EAC a game ban means multiplayer is disabled. You can play on non secure servers but its mainly single player as most games don’t have that feature.
Using WeMod turns off EAC so you can’t go online with godmode.
If you edit your states then you will be softbanned. Its just like when people using save wizard on PS4 getting banned.
The only cheat I know is item dupe. You can max the item and go online after you turn off wemod. My friend is only using that cheat as it doesn’t affect stats.
Only way to be safe online is not to cheat. Use cheat for offline only and never load the cheat save online.

Ahh, that makes a lot of sense actually, I hadn’t read up on what exactly EAC does for ER, so I kinda just assumed, hah. Your comment helps a ton!
I can’t confirm any other “Safe” cheats other than Item dupe either. A friend of mine has been flagged online for use of 100% drop rate and the “multiplier” modifiers for sure, though official bans won’t be handed out for another few days at least.
Last time I played I used god mode and 100% drop in ONLY offline mode with eac disabled by myself, does it mean I’m safe right? Like they won’t come after me and soft/ban or something?
I also deleted the character just in case lol, asking just to be sure 100%, sorry :'D

Stealth, 100% item drop and Rune drop % cheats are all confirmed safe, while offline. You can apparently also edit your stats AS LONG AS YOU SET THEM BACK TO THEIR ORIGINAL VALUES BEFORE YOU GO ONLINE AGAIN. I accidentally pressed F3 which increased my Mind by 1, but I just decreased it later and wasn’t flagged. Other cheats, don’t know, haven’t tried. The three I mentioned earlier already trivialize the entire game except bosses. Others are saying item duping is also safe, I’ll try it.

do you know a way to start the game? i just get a white screen then a black screen, and the wemod says: that there was a problem loading the cheats and i only use 100% drop and Rune Multiply
