when you launch the game it will tell you that you went against their rules and you can’t play online, but you will be able to play with other cheaters. so there’s that. you can also get a 1 time free get out of jail by messaging them and that you won’t do it again. but it will have a 180 day wait time to have it lifted. happen to me on DS3. i’m sure the method will be the same for this.
No, it is not a game ban. You just can’t play any multiplayer until you start a new save.
Please remember, I’m just speculating based on other games like DS3 and Elden Ring.

Good to know about that but what about in game items like weapons and stuff? If I beat a session offline will everything transfer to online games?
How do you play with other cheaters? Is there something you need to do specifically ?
Hi, so I’m playing on a modified save file and I’m still able log in and play multiplayer.
Be careful tho and always make sure to start your game offline and turn off all mods before attempting to go online. I’d recommend to restart your game as well.

if we use cheats to play the game in offline mode, can we then disable the cheats and play the same save in online and it be okay?

you’re basically put into a soft ban server, so everyone there you see or match with have cheated in some way. searching will be a pain as there won’t be as many players there.
That does sound like the kind of thing that would trigger the anti-cheat and get you banned but I guess we won’t know unless someone tries it. I’d rather not get banned so I’m doing minimal stuff in hopes it doesn’t trigger anything when I go online without the trainer to play with friends.
If I use the mod to get the costumes will i get detected and banned
I don’t know if you found out already but when you click play its already set up so it makes you go offline mode but I don’t know if can still get banned or not I risked it regardless.

I’m having frequent crashes when loading into the map. Even with cheats toggled off. Happens maybe half the time.
Edit: Way more than half the time after further testing.
Any update? still no soft ban?

Does it automatically have you go into offline mode and bypass the EAC when you click play? I’ve seen two people say this but no confirmation.

I actually was playing withmy alt account. But so far no soft ban.
Method I am doing is
First, I manually click steam → Go Offline
Then, Launch WeMod, Click The Play Button in Wemod
Once it launch, I basically bought all skins by editing Murk.
After Finish one run playing with wemod.
I quit wemod even from the "Hidden icons
Launch steam offline, play one run normally and collect more Murk.
Then Quit game, go online steam. Verify files just in case.
After that launch game online, go to my save its all there
So far no ban yet. I’m little relieved when Chris said there will be soft ban. No game ban that mark in steam.
Not too keen on using this until there’s clear instructions/guidance from the mod team.
Right now, it all seems to be speculation.
