Hey guys. I noticed WeMod wasnt working with my games so I figured I would do a fresh install.
I get the following error message when attempting to install. Antivirus is off.
“7112> 2018-03-31 21:50:02> CheckForUpdateImpl: First run or local directory is corrupt, starting from scratch”
Edit: I also tried downloading in admin mode. No use.

Issues with downloading are commonly caused by interference from antivirus programs.
Please try the troubleshooting in this post here: Can’t Install WeMod. And keep us updated.

Great, now give the rest of the steps in the post a whirl.
Says im unable to delete the wemod folders from appdata bc they are in use in another program, but i uninstalled wemod from my computer, and steam isnt running either. no wemod process in my task manager. does it run under another name?
It shouldn’t be.
I had this issue with a completely different software some time ago, I believe it’s a Windows fluke. Restarting the PC resolved it for me, if you haven’t done that already.
