Just an update for everyone waiting for an update in this discussion board: Don’t count on the trainer to be updated. It is working as intended according to support.

I followed every step but the game still crash once i use the tyre wear
I got the same thing from support. Then wound up not playing for last few weeks due to life. Tried again tonight and crashed soon as tried anything. RIP.
