"Failed to connect to the server!"

I am trying to get into Horizon today and I keep receiving the “Failed to connect to the server!” error. I have tried just about everything mention in the forums and nothing has seemed to work out for me. Help?

EDIT: I created a second user on my laptop and I was able to open Horizon without any problems. Think there is a corrupted file somewhere that is not allowing me to open Horizon.

Just something you could do maybe

  • Add Horizon as exception in AV
  • Running Horizon as Admin
  • Reinstalling Horizon as Admin

Well I deleted my original windows user and created another one and Horizon works fine there. But if it happens again, Ill remember this and try it out, Thanks!

how do i do that?

First find out if you have an anti-virus installed and if you do, remember the name.

If you have an anti-virus installed, google (your antivirus name) how to add an exception.
