I want one or the other. I want to play downloaded xbox games but I want to hack/mod games also.

i would say jtag and then ask someone on here to flash your normal xbox if you paid for shipping both ways which is like $20-$30. That way yu have both

Personally I would get a jtag for offline modding.
jtag cus you can get free games like a flashed xbox but you can mod the games much easier and do much more like running FSD, emulators, playing games without disks
I sold my last flashed console, still got the ole JTAG. I find having to pay to update the flash of a console everytime Microsoft comes out with an update to be an annoyance. I was not flashing myself and did not feel like getting the parts nor even having a PC that can do it so ya know.

You make it seem like FSD is or does something for you…its a friggin dashboard.

Flashed xbox is the cheap mans xbox, games are free, and can play online if you have the newest firmware.
JTAG is the fun mans xbox if you don’t mind playing offline.

Yes A flash can go online, but a J-Tag has more modding ability.
