Forza Horizon requires Diamond but Forza Horizon 2 doesn't? Forza Horizon Support Requested!

Hi guys, so back when I used to play Forza Horizon 1, I purchased diamond in order to mod my save… After a while I was banned by Turn 10, I could still play the game but some features such as joining car clubs, sharing gifts, accepting gifts and levelling up on multiplayer were stopped.

However, about 2 months after I was banned the game started to freeze upon launch, the game would load, but as soon as I loaded Single Player or joined an online event or even a freeroam the game just crashed and made me reset my console. Eventually I stopped playing the game because it was pointless.

Well, Forza Horizon has, as of yesterday, officially come to Xbox One’s backwards compatibility and I of course installed the game (On disc) and went to play it. The game loaded like normal but then it took roughly 10 minutes loading my single players before crashing…

I spoke to an old friend that had also modded his save years ago, and he told me that the only way to stop the game from crashing is by removing the modded cars via Horizon (Mod tool)

So, why in the hell does Forza Horizon 1 require diamond membership still yet FH2 doesn’t, all I want to do is remove some of the modded cars so that my save will work. I shouldn’t have to purchase diamond again just to do that. I cant remove the cars in game, so does anyone else know a free method of removing the cars, and can someone also explain why FH1 requires diamond but FH2 doesn’t.

Thanks, Shinobi.

@Chris you could shed some light on this

@Sykotik you’re the Forza expert, know any ways?

It’s probably diamond now since it’s going to be free on Xbox next month and if you ask me that’s a pretty smart move by the developers.

Diamond is the Only way…without corrupting or starting over completely with a New save.

Q: Have you deleted the title update and reinstalled it? I know it sounds odd but I have had that work for some whatever reason.
Have you checked for nicks, scuffs or scratches on the disc…And actually looked closely for “label peel”?

Personally IMHO I think the ban might be more in play here than modded cars.
I play on a gamesave set that is going on 4 years old or more; I have modded something just about every time I go to play the game and I have no issues with loading, or crashing.
Thing is—I have never gotten a ban…To this day I don’t blow through speed traps (doing 250 in a Ford Escort).
When turn 10 mods (SnowOwl, PhReDesign,Frowe) were on the scene monitoring and playing in public lobbies, I stayed away from anything “mod trade” related.
Due to spending a bit of time on FM4, I already knew gifting/selling a Unicorn was No Bueno…Though I have always said those should have been locked similar to barn finds but in a way that allows you to sell them into the game (Dak’s/Auto Show) at least to protect the Newb from themselves who DON’T know the “Unicorn Law”

If I might without getting grief from Mods/Admin, I could maybe Do it for You on My Diamond.

There are a few issues to start though:

  1. getting rid of Modded Cars does not remove the Modded setups for them

2: setups cannot be deleted without the car that they were created with/ for (ecl. delete the whole setup save file and save what you have left afterward)

  1. the only “Modded” cars I would be able to delete remotely like you are asking for would be:
    Traffic, Unicorn, and Barn Finds

The only car I really want to keep is the tour bus, the reactions you get from it when using it in Infected lobbies are priceless. (Probably why I’m banned)

The game has a couple scratches but it works perfectly if I start up a new save for example, and I’m not sure how you would go about removing/re-installing a title update via Xbox One’s backwards compat.

I ended up clicking the add all cars button meaning traffic cars, unicorns, and barn finds (I pressed it once and ended up getting 3 of everything)

I missed the part about it being on Xone I guess…360 deleting the title update fixes some things some of the time.

I am assuming this a 360 disk being played in an XOne with an imported 360 save?
I dunno if removing the extras from the save and reimporting it is possible…but if it is then I could maybe try

Hello, I’m interested if you could give me any help as I have a similar issue, explained on another topic I wrote. (See my profile for link).
I’ve never been banned and I’d be very glad if anyone could help me since the time I expect a reply

What help you need?

K so I am on X1 AND 360 now and yes remote removal is possibly the best shot because it plays from a 360 cloud save versus local data…IDK for sure though

Hello,

I have a save file that doesn’t show up in either Horizon and Xbox Dashboard Explorer (Xbox UI)
I don’t know if it’s corrupt as even the back up file is not recognized, and I’m afraid I allready bricked an USB key.
I was trying to get the secret cars (only unicorns and traffic cars, mostly), no XP boost, or whatsoever.

There are other tools for Car Editors but i get what you mean cheers

So what’s the deal there ?

So will forza horizon not require diamond once the game is older again? Its really irritating actually, but oh well I guess.

The forza horizon tool has required diamond since 2012, so probably not.

any idea where to get other mods for it?

No. Use google, you should find some stand-alone editor that may-or-may not be malware.

Look for the “Anarchy” mot tool… MAKE SURE it’s version 2.1.0.1 and not the latest version (3.0.0.0) the reason being is that the latest version does not work (when modding FH1)

Just wait till my new editor comes out! Allows you edit all stats, settings, and vehicles. In the garage editor you will be able to add and remove vehicles and edit vehicle stats, upgrades, and tunes!
