My friend is wanting to build a gaming PC for about $1000 with Intel and Nvidia if possible. He already has a hard drive and doesn’t want to buy new RAM unless the total price is lower than $1000. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
I doubt he is running DDR4 which is what Intel is using now so that isn’t an option.
Anyways I would go something like this
i5 6600
MSI z170 Tomahawk
GSKILL RIPJAW V 2800
EVGA 750w PSU
Coolermaster hyper 212
Seriously wait for the new GPUS this budget will allow for a 1070
Pick a case $100 or so
There is your build under $1000, it came out to like $875 so he can drop the extra money into other stuff if he needs or wants it.
When will the new GPUS release because his current computer may die at any minute?
Days, weeks, months we really have no idea. If he gets one now he should get EVGA so he can use the stepup program .
i7 4790k processor
motherboard: ASUS 970 Pro Gaming/Aura, Socket-AM3+
power supply: Cooler Master B600 VER.2, 600W PSU
case: Cooler Master Elite 311 Sort/Sølv (coz its cheap)
gpu: ZOTAC GeForce GTX 1070 6GB
cooler: Coolermaster hyper 212
u didnt need ram or somethin, maybe add an ssd or an extra harddrive also if u have more money left.
this should keep the pc going for a few years and get u ultra 60fps gaming performance in every game on the market. but keep a lookout for youtube videos, there are a lot of ppl who make builds for 1000 dollars on there, lots of good guides and new hardware comes out every 6 months if not more often, so theres always coming out new things. ur friend should buy everything at once, and not buy items seperately.
sorry, on the case it says sort/sølv, but that means black/silver in english, i just copy pasted lol xD so it didnt change to english.
this should allow 144fps gaming for most games also, if u lower settings to high in some very demanding games, so it shouldnt be too much of a bottleneck on the gpu. enjoy.
currently i have a 980 ti which is worse than the 1070, but more expensive so id defo recommend a 1070, and if u can afford it maybe get 2 of em and sli it, but thatll be for the future anyway. u only need one to start with for butter smooth fps in all games
i mean i have 12gb ram and only a 540 graphics card on the lap top with a core i3 and it can run day z pretty decently
