Going to buy myself a new game monitor

Hello, im going to buy myself a new monitor.
Ive been looking around on the endless pages of the web.
And i just want your thoughts about this one.

Acer 35" Predator Curved LED G-Sync Z35

What do you think, should i go for it or do you have anything better i should go for?

That looks like a wicked monitor I’d buy it

G-sync, 144hz, TN panel (good for gaming). That’s pretty much the best monitor going right now. Reason I say this is because 4k gaming is still in it’s early days, you’re rarely gonna get above 100fps on games at 4k…

I have an ROG Swift myself. 144hz, won’t go back!

This. 144hz will change your life. Current monitor I’m using: here

Don’t buy a 35" monitor for gaming. Don’t even waste your money on G-Sync. Just buy a monitor that supports 144hz like the VH248QE or if you have the money an asus MG279Q which is a 144hz 1440p IPS

Unless you are trying to game on a low-mid tier GPU and you are running FPS is the range of 30-60 max, there is no point to get G Sync. It was made to help low FPS situations look smooth. If you have a 144hz monitor and you are running games at 160, G Sync will do nothing.

Otherwise, 144hz is good and if you want that size, go for it. Personally I think ultra-wides are awful for gaming because not every game knows how to handle it and the scaling can ruin your entire FOV.

I see, ive not very updated on PC gaming in many years, im not so familiar with G-Sync etc.
I just received my new gaming PC. It got a Gainward GeForce GTX TITAN X 12GB GPU in it.
But i just have a old Benq monitor and i wanted to swap it but i didnt know what to get.

My friend said i had to buy that one above but i dont know if he know what he is talking about, maybe he just wanted me too buy it cause it looked cool, i believe he saw my GPU could use G-sync i guess thats maybe why he said i should get it. Anyway moving on.
Should i take the advice from Chris and go for the Asus MG279Q?

In my opinion the high size you should go is 27" for gaming. Definitely look at a 1440p 144hz monitor with that rig. Look into the ROG Swift if you have the money.

I`ll do that.

Edit: This one you think about?

Btw, If you guys want to see what PC i got:

Why would you drop so much money on a GPU that you gained nothing over the 980ti then not get an M.2 SSD? Not to mention you bought a mid grade PSU. If you are within your return period return stuff. For the price of the titan x you can almost get 2 980ti when they are on sale.

As i said im just got back to PC gaming and i cant say im the best decision maker.
But the company i buy it from are good with return deals and such so i believe i can fix this.
Something else you want to mention? I really have no budget so fire away

Did you buy it as a prebuilt or part and build it yourself? If you built it yourself then return the titan and get a 980ti. The 980ti will max most current games and if you get to a point where it wont then buy a second one. The titan x just has more vram and it is hard to reach more than 4gb as is. Then buy an M2 SSD(Samsung SM951 is my choice). The PSU is fine so just keep what you have. Also use EVGA if you can for GPU.

Monitor wise if you have the money then the rog swift is a good choice.

Okey, thanks!
Then we have a plan for the famous PC Master Race.
I didnt get it prebuilt just got the parts, so i just return the parts i dont want, easy as that.

Then i believe i go with Rog Swift as monitor.

I’ve always wanted that monitor, I’ll own it one day!

I don’t know much about the specs of it but that looks wicked sweet dude!

Hey there,
I never post, I just lurk around but i felt that i could really help you out here.

That monitor is pretty sick. I wanted to purchase it at first but then ended up going for a different monitor, because I realized that it was not the best pick for me.
I had no idea about some of the specs I had to take into account and found a more optimal pick. Oh btw, I learned about it from this article, maybe it can help you too.

Hope I was helpful
