Here is a link to a tutorial for hacking a Western Digital Hard Drive to work on your xbox 360. Its for the people that dont want to pay the outrageous price for an official hard drive. Lol these Hard drives cost the same amount of money as the 250GB Microsoft HDD.

Ok m8’s got a 500gb Scorpio this morning, used the hdhakr with the 320**.BIN, installed it in the 4gb xbox 360 slim, checked system/memory format it with xbox, took few seconds. The xbox 360 slim see it as a 293gb, result. Powered off wrapped up agai for the kids on xmas. I am so happy, all in all it took from flashing to format less than 5 mnutes 
1 Q. I didn’t connect it with the internet, so do I need to up-date something or is it OK as is ?

Yeap, it was your tut. I read & followed How to hack a 250gb or 320gb sata drive to work in the Xbox 360 and Xbox 360 Slim excellent, 1 thing I am sure I read some where the Dashboard should be up-dated before one puts the WD scorpio in ! is this correct !

This does work, Im using it right now, paid 50$ for a 320GB western.
Thx for the info. as said I got the 500gb • WD Scorpio Blue Series BEVS/BEVT/BPVT which as from now, the max 1 can get from it is 293gb. I presume in a short time the HHSS.BIN will have bigger drives, can’t wait. I am not going to do anything furhter more with my kids xbox until it goes over the 1 year warranty. 
I done the same with Wii, 176 games on a USB

Is there any advantages to this besides saving money with parts you already own?
I read that you cannot play xbox1 original games with flashed/modded etc console if you do not use the “Official” **** drive. Will these be easier to connect to PC than the official and add the partitions?
