In the next few days I am going to buy a Turtle Beach headset that is compatible with Xbox One, but not designed for it. I am trying to decide whether or not I should buy Turtle Beach’s Adapter or Microsoft’s Adapter. If anyone know if there is any difference, please let me know. I want an adapter that will retain all of the features of my headset and will work great with it. I feel more safe with Turtle Beach’s option since it is designed for my Headset, but if there isn’t really any difference, then I will just go with Microsoft’s.
Really there is no difference except in the design of the adapter. Tritton offers an adapter for the Xbox One as well and it has a different design as well.
Thanks! I was thinking I would lose some features with the Microsoft Adapter and maybe have some other issues, but I think I’ll just go with what you said and get the Microsoft Adapter.
I was wondering why they were mentioning features such as mic monitoring and bass boost for an adapter. Weird…
By the way, I found out that since I’m getting a surround sound headset, that the adapter will only be used for chat options. All the more reason to get Microsoft’s Adapter. Once again, thanks for the help!
Well, the headset I’m getting includes a mobile device cable which also serves as a cable for chat on Xbox One. I’m going to use the mobile device cable to connect my headset to my controller with Microsoft’s adapter attached. Hope that’s enough info…
Your good money man just buy the microsoft adapter so you can get the 2.5 to 3.5 adapter thats included with it. If you have any more questions ask away.
