Hello and welcome to the community. ![]()
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with the Wand developers. ![]()
This change helps us sustainably support Wand’s development and keep improving Wand for everyone. Our tools are built and maintained by a paid team of creators who test and update across thousands of games—the session timer is how we keep that work going.
As Wand has grown, we’ve made the decision to bring back the timer so we can keep the service running and deliver for our community for years to come.
Our focus remains on what matters: speedier updates, wider game support, and a dedicated team keeping your favourite titles running smoothly. To back this up, we’ve actually tripled our mod development team over the last year!
Thank you again for taking the time to share your feedback. ![]()
Wow a Micro$oft answer… okay trying to get past that one.
Now on a more serious note, could you or someone, please i beg you, explain to me the logic behind a time limit on a app that i only use offline. I mean i’m not using any bandwidth, connections, storage space, servers, etcetera, in short nothing of your paid resources.
This simply makes no sense. Please understand, how would you feel if some company suddenly charged you for something that was free and you used their software offline only, you i believe would feel deceived at best.
Hey there,
There really isn’t an offline mode. Trainers and mods aren’t bundled with the app because that would require users to download the entire app again every time new content is released. Instead, content is delivered dynamically, which allows us to add new trainers, mods, fixes, and updates much more quickly.
While server costs are part of our expenses, they represent only a small portion of the overall cost of running the platform. We also have a full team behind the app, including developers, support staff, and mod creators, all of whom contribute to maintaining and expanding the service.
Over the years, we’ve tested several different monetization models and found that the 2-hour session timer is the most sustainable approach, which is why it was reintroduced. Our research consistently shows that the average gamer plays two hours or less per day, meaning most users never encounter the session timer at all.
For those who use the service more heavily, we believe it’s fair that the additional costs associated with that higher usage are covered by the users receiving the most value from it. This allows us to keep the service accessible for the majority of players while continuing to support ongoing development and content creation for everyone.
Hi Chris.
I know, i know, you are the advocate every single time WeMod or Wand makes a wrong move on a slippery road, but sorry to say this time they are wrong. What they have done to longstanding users is unforgivable and will stain what was until now an hard but unsoiled path. A really bad move on their part.
Now about the “There really isn’t an offline mode.”
I start my pc with the internet cable on the floor of my room, start Wand and then i click play on the game i want to play and i play it. I don’t see how any of this is using Wand resources. The only time i use the app online is for updates and start a game with a new or updated trainer, after the game starts i disconnect the cable. Again even with a new game i only start online for a few seconds the first time i use it, from then on always offline.
As i said in the beginning, i admire your stance, many times WeMod was unfairly criticized but this time their attitude in indefensible and alienating towards even the most loyal of users.
Trust me when i tell you, you will certainly loose more, (users), than gain (pro subscriptions). Well you know what they say; “you reap what you sow”.
“We appreciate the feedback. As you said we are not the only ones but we also don’t charge for any cheats or have ads. Pro is our only source of income to pay for the site and offering premium cheats gives more incentive to subscribe. We will never switch to a model where every game is paid but there will be some games/cheats that will require Pro.”

Just stirring the pot because the new time system caused a crash and made me lose progress hehe.
