So if you have been paying attention to twitter as of recently, you might have noticed that there has been a lot of Halo 5: Guardians being hinted at, well it is officially here, the Halo 5: Guardians Opening Cinematic is here. not impressed, i miss bungie
I miss Bungie too, but you cant always judge a book by its cover. The game actually looks pretty promising. I was at PAX this past few days playing halo 5 guardians and it was pretty good.
Gonna have to agree with Raptor. Halo is the only reason I bought an xbox & an XBL sub over a decade ago. Switched from Halo PC to Halo 2 and so on. I really don’t like the direction 343i is going with the Halo universe & story. I don’t like all the new features they add (to be fair, Bungie started that garbage with Reach). The game feels more and more like Call of Duty in terms of loadouts, armor abilities. I just miss the core gameplay from titles like 1, 2 & 3. They keep trying to change Halo and innovate, but it doesn’t feel like Halo anymore.
While you might be correct when it comes to halo reach and 4, this one is going to be different. Everyone is going to be on the same page in terms of preset loadouts, no armor abilities like armor lock or promethean vision, no equipment like the bubble shield, just old fashioned arena multiplayer that is a little bit faster paced than what we are used to in a halo game, and that isn’t necessarily a bad thing.
I’ve seen plenty of gameplay and I can honestly say it’s not a game I’m ever going to invest in. 343i has been trying to fix something that isn’t broken. They’re just over-complicating things trying to appease to a wider audience. It’s a different game now.
