Horizon installation trouble

  • Type of Problem: The game will not install.
  • OS: Windows XP
  • Antivirus/Firewall installed: Norton Antivirus
  • Errors: “Not a valid win32 application” upon running the game.

Is this because im not on Vista or 7?

To me it’s seems to be your Anti-Virus. Disable it, then download Horizon again, then try running.

“Not a valid win 32 application” means its not compatible with your OS.

You’re running XP dude, that **** is like 10 years old, lmfao

It’s not a game… It’s program that mods games for you. You don’t install Horizon, you run it. Try re-downloading it. It seems like it’s corrupt, and maybe the it wasn’t fully downloaded.

Edit:

It’s compatible with Windows XP. XP is actually a pretty good operating system… Better than Vista at least.

Try right clicking horizon, click options, click the compatibility tab and run it in compatibility mode with Windows XP SP2 or SP3

Did you Update your System? Probably that will work?

XP doesn’t come with .NET, install it and try again: Download Details - Microsoft Download Center - Microsoft .NET Framework 4 (Web Installer)

to be fully clear, i click the download button from this site’s download page, when it’s done downloading i click run.(or save) but regardless, it pops up the win32 error. If i were to click only “run” i would be unable to change the application’s compatability. So to me, saving is like installing… When i save it though, it shows the icon as just a blank window thing, and running it produces the same error.

I updated my computer 3 days ago.

I have Framework 4.

Hmmm… I will try to post a download link with Horizon.exe inside a zip file, that might help, because it could be your anti-virus system. It will be posted below ASAP.

I’m using XP I downloaded the setup and when I click it, it says “The installer was unable to access the server. Please try again later”
