As more Horizon updates come out, I’ll update this list, and we’ll see how Horizon and Modio start to compare as time goes on.

Nice visualization.
I like the idea because I didn’t know some of this information, but I can for see some people starting a flame war against Game-Tuts in this post.
Well all I can do is hope we are mature enough not to.
Otherwise, nice!

Wow…i never saw a list of comparison modding tool…Horizon has sooo much…

what is Valhalla…? is it the Halo 3 map

Both are good programs, why only use 1 when you can make use of 2?

Ya The Mods Might Take iT Down

Its just another forum member putting “words” in their hands and expressing it when the staff of both sites have complete respect for each other, doesn’t mean they have to be affiliated, but… members will cause the troubles for everything.

Social destruction.

Horizon has 42 tools.
42 of 42 of these tools were made by the Horizon team.

Modio has 28 tools.
1 of 28 of these tools was made by Gaytuts.

horizons better modio is horrile bran just compiles soucres

The new Modio looks like trash! I hate it Horizon FTW.

Another thing I might add to this is if you drag your profile into modio that has a lot of gpd it will take a while to load. While in Horizon you can load the profile extremely fast.

Actual valhalla mod tools (the funny thing is that the black ops editor works.)

Public Tools:
Package Explorer
Storage Explorer

Platinum Tools
Call of Duty: Blackops Setting Editor
Call of Duty: MW2 MP Editor
Call of Duty: MW2 Save Editor
Castle Crashers Editor
Forza 3 Design Unlocker
Forza 3 Livery Unlocker
Forza 3 Profile Manager
Forza 3 Screenshot Tool
Forza 3 Tune Unlocker
Forza 3 Vinyl Unlocker
GTA IV Save Editor
Halo 3 Campaign Progress Editor
Halo 3: ODST Campaign Progress Editor
L4D2 Save Editor
Need For Speed Shift Save Editor
WET Save Editor

Nothing that was public worked for me. The package tool wouldn’t let me extract (or do anything with the package in fact), and the FATX explorer wouldn’t detect my device.

how is modio a good program most of there mod tools if not all are open source so there ripping off other people works. people have been sued for that before

and modio sucks i only use it for opening up my usb and hard drive

and hands down horizon wins

if i remember right somebody asked for a save sharer and cheater said no because modio has 1 and somebody could upload a virus

Horizon > Modio

The Modio Killer :sunglasses:

Horizon FTW!!!

Nothing wrong with that as long as the tool makers are credited and approve of the idea. I’d prefer having many tools with most of them being from 3rd parties than having only a few tools, all from the(a?) 1st party. I’m worried a mentality of “well, we didn’t make it so we won’t include it” will cause problems.

there both good applications, dont understand why every one makes a big deal about it

Think of it as a group in High School. People on here are joining that group to look cool. I personally could careless about each of the programs as they are equal. They both have a great aspect. If the program as something really interesting I am sure that people on here would use that tool on modio or horizon. Same goes for Modio. I will admit this right now. If Modio had a amazing tool that could do something incredible of course I am going to use the program. If it is giving me something out of it; why not use it.

I believe that if both of the programs are good and are making good use then why not use it? Thats all I have to say.

I don’t use either one that much tbh.
I use Modio for re-hashing and re-signing.
I use xport360 for opening my hdd.
Haven’t really used Horizon much, so I can’t say anything good/bad about it.
GT needs to do more work on Modio. The latest version’s layout reminds me of GIMP.
iHc toolbox looks nice though and has more tools for jtag’s, anyone use it???
Horizon and Modio are both great programs, really, if you don’t like one or the other just don’t use that one you don’t like and don’t flame about it!
