I found this on youtube and wanted to share it with all the Destiny fans here.
Without any thought, Iāll definitely be converting majority of my Ascendent Shards for Motes of Light, but I will not be then spending them on the Exotic engrams that Xur offers and there are a few reasons as to why:
01.) I have horrible luck with RNG so Iād end up probably wasting my newly acquired Motes on gear that I either already have or donāt need.
(ex: I purchase 10x Exotic Engrams from Xur and get gear for a Warlock/Titan while playing as a Hunter.)
02.) Iron Banner weapons. Everyone has different believes on whether or not Iron Banner weapons are worth having, except when it comes to the Felwinterās Lie, and thatās all well and fine. But, Iām one of those players that like to have those weapons with the right, most effective perks so, that means I need a lot of Motes of Light to re-roll those said weapons!
(ex: This past Iron Banner event I went from 192x Motes of Light down to only 10x because I re-rolled my Jolderās Hammer, two Efrideetās Spears, and Timurās Lash a multitude of times until I was happy with the elements/perks; the Iron Banner event previous to that I went from 209x Motes of Light to about 150-170.)
03.) For as awesome as it feels to either complete something or acquire something prior to everyone else Iād much rather allow the game to reward me with the new gear/weapons in time and give me something to strive for rather than all at once and so I donāt have anything to āfightā for.
(ex: Where as I stopped playing Destiny prior to The Dark Below releasing, I had a few friends that continued playing. Now, obviously, when I got into the game everything that was implemented with TDB was new to me, but, to my friends, they had reached the point, like we all did prior to the first expansion releasing, where they didnāt have anything they needed.) (ex: Even with the next expansion right around the corner, me already the maxed rank of Lvl. 32, having every exotic weapon/armor (Hunter) thanks to Xur finally selling the Thunderlord, I still have a few weapons/pieces of gear/Faction levels Iād like to fully level before the content releases on the 19th.
ā¦I do realize that youāre posting this video to share with those who are fans of Destiny or curious about the soon-to-be-released content, Iām just saying all of this to start conversation regarding the game/expansion because I havenāt seen that many threads/post directed towards Destiny in some time; nothing personal.
Thanks for sharing!
P.S.
If anyone on here still players Destiny via Xbox 360 then donāt be shy in sending me a message with your Gamertag!
ā¦ever week I run everything solo or with LFGāers so itād be nice to get a solid group.
Thatās why i made a Hunter, Warlock and a Titan i also still Play Destiny on the Xbox 360 but i ran out of gold iāll be renewing on the 20th of this month though, i have exams and stuff, Feel free to add me till then GT:xXxAfterlif3xXx
This is my Destiny character history:
- Created a Hunter (main that I still have today).
- Created a second Hunter.
- Created a Titan.
- Deleted my Titan.
- Created a Warlock.
- Deleted my Warlock.
- Created a third Hunter.
- Deleted my third Hunter.
- Deleted my second Hunter.
Obviously I didnāt do all of this within the same week or month, but I did do it because I was tired of living on the game and feeling the need to rush through the game; complete everything on every character prior the weekly reset. Granted, like Iāve said to others, it sucks that I canāt run the Weekly/Nightfall or Raids multiple times a week, but I do enjoy the game more because I donāt feel rushed. One could rebuttal that it is I who controls the flow at which I play the game, but in that case Iād question why Iād even have the other characters if I wasnāt wanting to complete the weekly tasks for them to improve/level up.
Overall, I have given it some thought on creating a Titan, but Iād only do so if my friend were to purchase the game and so we could progress through the āstoryā together. (Iād never create another Warlock because I hate the ājumpā and just overall despise the class. Lol)
Edit:
Iāll add you because with the Prison of Elders and Trials of Osiris releasing Iāll definitely want players to play with!
So this update is already out?
Itās out but will be activated later when the HoW releases, so as soon as it comes out you can do this.
I hear this from people ALL the time. They hate warlocks cause they hate the jump. Iāll watch them struggle just to get up to the gorgons chest as a warlock and I know why people hate it, because they donāt use it right. The faster you tap A after your first jump, the more momentum you get and can almost get the height a titan jump can get.
It controls a bit differently than the titan/hunter jumps, so the people that have mained those classes āhateā the warlock
My main is a Hunter but i swear i love my Warlock, Their armor is so dope man, youāve seen āThe Ramā Helmet?
Huh, I never knew that. Why didnāt you ever tell me that bit of information when weād go in depth on conversations regarding the different jumps every class has back when I had you and your girlfriend added?
ā¦still isnāt enough for me to create a Warlock and join the dark side of Destiny. Lol
Hunter > Titan > Warock
Hunter > Warlock > Titan
is what goes for me but still #HunterMasterRace
Ha, as long as you favor the Hunter over all the others youāre cool in my book. Lol
ā¦I just prefer the Titan over the Warlock because Iāve always been about supporting my teammates and the Defender subclass is all about that. Whether youāre playing PVE or PVP itās very useful and can change the momentum of gameplay. (ex: Your team having issues capturing āBā in Control?..put a bubble down. // Are you taking too much damage and canāt seek cover?..put a bubble down.)
May i add to this that its actually really helpful in the VoG & CE? in the VoG Weapons of light are beast, in CE Distracting Boomers is probably top priorities for a Defender Titan, what i have come to is that each class has their place in the game Hunters are freakinā beast in PvP, Warlocks can save a whole team of wiping in a raid because of their Self-Res ability, Titans have their OP shield thatās really helpful in Objective-Based game modes & Raids.
Yes, in PVE, especially when referring to VOG or CE, the Titan is very useful because of the bubble!
- Creates cover for those in need of it when trying to guard the confluxes or kill the oracles.
- Generate orbs for the relic holder during the Templar fight.
- Offer Blessing of Light when going against Atheon.
- Distract the boomers for the swordbearer.
As for PVP, like weāve already stated, the Titan and itās bubble is something to fear no matter where itās placed on the map!
ā¦if the player then has the Helm of Saint 14 equipped then itās even worse!
Disclaimer:
I know there are a lot of people that play Destiny that have all three classes so they can be prepared for every scenario, I just feel as if I donāt see as many Titans when it comes to Warlocks or Hunters; thus another reason why Iād create a Titan over a Warlock.
Some 50 year old dude in my clan brought it up a few months ago, I never really paid much attention. Iām just naturally amazing with the Warlock that way.
Warlock>Warlock>Warlock

Can you already exchange shards?
Not yet sadly, That video was so misleading.
This gameplay was recorded at Bungie, Where they showed The new Reef social space, Trials of Osiris and Prison Of Elders, At first i thought i could already exchange shards, but then i knew that the update is already out BUT Bungie said that it will be activated later⦠So Technically each and everyone who launched Destiny by May 12 or after has the update.
We only have to wait one more week, rest guardian.
I know this is off topic but I was just running the NF. Got the usual garbage at the end of the round⦠But one legendary heavy engram droppedā¦
Would that be your third Gjallarhorn or no?
