I modded my profile and now it keeps freezing, can it be helped?

So I decided to mod Dead Island, not with Horizon but with a modding tool called Ellipse. I modded the profile with God mode, Cheat mode, Auto aim, and Unlimited ammo. I put everything back into the console and it worked fine until I moved it back into the internal hard drive then my console just froze, so I un-plugged it and turned it back on. It starts to load my profile but as soon as it’s about to sign in it freezes and does nothing else, can it be helped? :confused:

Delete profile only and recover it back.

I appreciate the reply, however I cannot delete the profile because it freezes when it automatically signs in.

Turn off your xbox, unplug the harddrive, then plug it back in once the dashboard loads. Then delete profile.

I suggest turning off auto-sign in to avoid this problem in the future.

Yeah that’s the other problem though, it’s in the internal 4gb hard drive, I took my xbox apart last night to see if I could take that out but it wasn’t under the disc drive and I thought that’s where they sit. Oh well, I’m going to see if I can fix it when I connect to a different internet today. so it doesn’t auto sign me in. I really do thank you for the replies though, if I can get into the hard drive I just delete the profile and recover it correct? :smile:

easy work around for you

  • go into your storage settings on the xbox and move your profile onto a USB device.
  • then do what zodiac said above insert the USB after the xbox has completely booted then go to storage settings again and delete your profile from your USB.
    *make sure you only delete the profile only and then download your profile again…enjoy

Yeah but the xbox freezes when the profile auto signs in sadly, but if I get a fix for it I’ll say something, thanks guys.

try pushing the middle xbox button on your pad before the profile signs in
on my xbox it stops the auto sign in then try get into storage settings through the sub menus

It worked guys, thanks for the help. I went over to my friends house to connect to a different internet and I was able to delete and recover my profile. :smile:
