I'm Sorry, But WHAT?!

When did we suddenly need Pro to use ANY cheats?

WeMod/Wand was my program of choice because I could support them while using cheats if I could not afford a month. I even used to tell my friends ‘It’s worth using because you don’t need to pay unless you want extra features, like hotkey use’.

Until today, when I suddenly got ‘You have reached your two hour limit’. In a program that already pesters me every 30 minutes to allow network access (Never going to happen), and has freaking in-app ads.

There goes all my respect, and there goes me ever recommending this program to anyone else. I refuse to pay for basic cheats AND have ads shoved down my throat whenever I open the program.

RIP to what was a good, usable cheat app. They decided ‘All your money’ was going to be their business model. So now they get none of mine. :fu:

Announcement for the 2 hour time limit was made mid February to start May 1 2026.
There have been multiple posts on the topic in discussions on here since February, so because you missed any of them, is on you.

Dear, if you want something that is safe, reliable, and doesn’t require you to screen everything yourself or wait indefinitely for uncertain results, then paying a reasonable amount to help maintain quality and give people an incentive to keep doing the work is necessary.

What you’re saying is basically like expecting an employee to work for you while refusing to pay them. I understand that it used to be free, and suddenly being asked to pay for it now can feel unpleasant.

But there is a Chinese saying:

「升米恩,斗米仇」A small favor inspires gratitude, but excessive generosity can eventually be taken for granted and even breed resentment.

I think that saying describes this kind of mentality quite well.

The Daily Session Timer is what the team landed on as the best way to run a sustainable business while still giving free and Pro users a good experience. It came from real data, and a number of different approaches were considered before landing on it.

We’re also actively working on ways to give free users more playtime flexibility, and we’ll have more to share on that soon. Wand Pro removes the timer for players who want unlimited playtime.

Full breakdown here: Session timer FAQ

Here is our most recent announcement from our discord feedback thread!

Hey all, quick update on the two-hour Daily Session Timer and the survey we ran recently. First off, thanks to many of you who shared helpful feedback and insights on the survey. The results validated what we heard from you all here in Discord about being interested in completing activities like watching ads or using features in the app for more playtime.

I want to restate where we stand on the Daily Session Timer. When we made the decision to bring it back, we looked closely at the data and weighed a number of different approaches. The timer is what we landed on as the best way to run a sustainable business while still giving free and Pro users a good experience. Looking at the period when everyone had unlimited playtime, over half of our free users were playing for two hours or less per day.

I recognize that a good number of you here play more than two hours a day, and that’s probably part of why this feels like a bigger deal in this community than it does across our broader user base. We have to weigh what works for players against what keeps Wand running, and the timer is where we landed on that balance. We also looked at what some of our competitors offer and decided that drastically limiting what games you have access to, complicated pricing and membership tiers, or making you pay for access to specific mods and trainers wasn’t the route we wanted to take.

Pro is a subscription instead of a one-time purchase for a similar reason. Games keep changing after they launch, and keeping thousands of mods working after those changes is a big undertaking. A subscription funds that ongoing work and ensures we can keep with the pace of game releases and updates. A one-time payment wouldn’t allow us to provide that kind of service.

All that being said, you’ve made it clear you want more flexibility here, and I hear that. We’re not removing the Daily Session Timer, but we are working on ways to implement your feedback about wanting more playtime. We’ll have more to share on that soon.

We’ll keep collecting data as these changes go live, and we’ll keep making decisions based on what we learn. If after the next update you still feel like you want more play time, that means you’re getting a lot out of Wand and we’d ask you to consider upgrading to Pro.
