“Installation has failed
There was an error while installing ht application. Check the setup log for more information and contact the author”
This error pops up even after the smiley face pops up, I tried the direct download like already too, I’ve looked through numerous other forms and none of the solutions seem to help me. I don’t have an AV and I disabled Windows Automatic protection.
Any ideas?

First thing is to try a reinstall using a VPN with any antivirus turned off. Windscribe is a free VPN that gives you 10GB free every month. This usually fixes most install issues if the underlying issue is network related.

Tried the first one, the download failed. Opera worked a bit better, I was actually able to use it, but it still didn’t work when I tried to install WeMod.
Still says installation has failed.
Do you have Comcast for internet?

Is Windows updated all the way? Could always try a clean reinstall using https://api.wemod.com/client/download.
- Uninstall via control panel then delete these folders if they exist:
- C:\Users\YOURUSER\AppData\Local\WeMod
- C:\Users\YOURUSER\AppData\Roaming\WeMod
- Reboot your PC then reinstall using above link
Hmm still didn’t work.
Not much else to check really aside from latest Windows updates and antivirus which is already disabled. I’d put your router on a DMZ to eliminate any network blockage. You can just google your router model and use enable DMZ in a keyword search.
Tried all of these suggestions and also didn’t work for me.
