I’ve been wondering for a while now, is it safe to mod Dark souls 2 by safe I mean will I get banned. Or is there some form on self policing I would have to do like not maxing out all stats online or something along those lines.
Just asking because I’ve heard of people claiming to get banned, but none of them actually show proof like picture of the email from Fromsoft.
Any information would be much appreciated.
(I only plan to test weapons, as resources are limited in this game unless you want to jack up the play through with bonfire ascetics.)
Modding any singleplayer game is usually 100% safe. Some games though, like Darksiders 2 saves your stats (kills, playtime etc) and if they check the leaderboards regularly you can end up with a temp-ban.
I’ve modded Dark Souls 1 several times and nothing have happened. I’m positive or can almost confirm that it’s completely safe to mod Dark Souls 2. Enjoy man.
