Feel free to tell me what were your rewards this week in ToO!

I don’t play this game but congrats!

Nice man!

Also, quick question, is HoW worth getting? I was considering getting it

I’m telling you HoW is the best thing that happened to Destiny since Launch!

Congratulations, allow me to be the first in saying welcome to the Flawless club!
…you are now in charge of protecting the Lighthouse and its treasure from those who have yet to visit it.

This week wasn’t different from any of the previous weekends Trials wise, yet for some reason I really enjoyed Widow’s Court! Anyways, getting to the more important things…rewards, I was gifted:

  • Truth (Exotic Shard)
  • Jewel of Osiris - Arc (I’m looking for Solar)
  • Repeated gear (Motes, Coins, etc.)

Again, congratulations…lets see if you can start a flawless streak like my squad and I!

P.S.
You definitely were gifted more gear then when I first completed Flawless!

Haha, that Thunderlord was a Duplicate but i’m keeping it anyways :stuck_out_tongue: , i still need to get flawless on my Warlock and Titan though.

Nice man. I still have yet to get a flawless. I didn’t use more than one ticket last week and I’m not a fan of the new maps.

We just got a flawless iron banner run though lol

Open Me

Man, majority of the people I’ve talked or played with have said they’ve enjoyed the new maps, especially when it comes to Widow’s Court, but everyone has their own likes and dislikes. (ex: I despise Anomaly because the layout is just dumb; every enemy team just either chills in their side hallway or across from “B” flag so it’s too easy to flank/switch sides making it too easy to switch spawns.)

I have yet to play all of the new maps in both main playlists, Rumble + Control, but I have played:

  • Rumble - Black Shield
    – Was horrid, is too small/crowded of a map to use anything other then a shotgun. (Unless you get really dumb players that stay with the outside area)

  • Rumble - Widow’s Court
    – Is a very open yet confined map that allows players to actually move around and not stick with one area of play. (I have yet to have an enemy player spawn either directly on top of me or have myself spawn directly within someone.)

  • Control – Widow’s Court
    – Similar to the rumble breakdown, is very open for all players to separate rather then stay close together. But, with being the gamemode control, I am truly glad the capture positions aren’t in areas that allow teams to just run forward to capture, if you know what I mean.

Trials of Osiris wise, have you not found a fireteam to run with or is the reason for not visiting the Lighthouse yet because of some connection? (A lot of people have been getting banned for either quitting prior to the match starting because they didn’t feel fit to play the opposing team or for booting the opposing team offline for the free victory.)

I loved this new map, went 27-0 this weekend.

Rewards were:

Purifier Robes (Warlock Exotic Chest)
The Messenger (Adept) Solar Elemental for the 3rd time!
Jewel of Osiris (Adept) Void Elemental.
The Summoner (Adept) Void Elemental.
3x Etheric Light
x27 Passage Coins
x12 Motes of Light

This week’s ToO map is my least favorite so far. Snipers dominate it…

Which element are you trying to roll for?

…I’m hoping to get Arc, but either way I’m just wanting the weapon!

Every map that has hosted Trials of Osiris has had the capability of using sniper rifles…some just more then others. Obviously it’s the name of the game and so if the opposing team is capable of out killing your squad using distance to their advantage then try another strategy; especially when it comes to bait-n-switching.

…I can understand where you’re coming from, especially when referring to the “Final Round” perk, but I just feel as if snipers were a lot worse when it came to the map Pantheon; with this weeks map you could change up your routes every round making it so the opposing team doesn’t have any idea where you’re coming from. (Patheon was very predictable and easy to read after only a few rounds in)

Disclaimer
I did enjoy Pantheon because I liked how the rounds were actually some what lengthy, my squad and I actually had to resort in capturing the objective to win a few rounds, but, like I said, with this map I think people need to stop being repetitive by going to the same spots and think up different strategies to come out victorious.

It’s not that we had trouble on the map, it’s just that most of the encounters (atleast from my experience) were long range with snipers. There were hardly any up close battles taking place, most of the time we would snipe everyone with in the first 30 sec to min of the round. So it wasn’t as intense for me as some of the other maps were. I’m not really trying to go flawless this week because there’s nothing else I really need from trials (except the Fate of All Fools, but I have yet to see anyone get the exotic bounty for it).

That’s why I love it.

I worded it wrong I have had 2 arc ones already and got solar this week. I’m happy with solar because iirc there aren’t any other solar pulse rifles.

Don’t get me wrong, Widow’s Court is a beautiful map. I just can’t stand the layout. There’s just way too many little walls and barriers to navigate through. The few times I have played on the map in regular control, I got lost easily and was dominated by blink-shotgunners.
I don’t remember the names of the other maps I played, but they had a similar feeling. Tiny corridors, everywhere. Look to my right to shoot someone, only to get sandwiched from all sides.

I played my first card with a couple friends the day it came out and we went 9-2. I tried to play it last week on Pantheon, but my team mate gave up after our first loss because it was “a waste of time”

Right now getting to the lighthouse isn’t super important, I just like pulling etheric light out of the packages and drops from games. If I could get a competent team together to go for the 9-0 I would, it’s just hard to get people to get off X1 and come play 360.

Ever since i went to the lighthouse i’ve been reading the Osiris grimoire and i’m telling you there’s a HUGE backstory of Osiris, read the Osiris card in the Allies tab if you haven’t read it yet…

“Your quest split Guardians along ideological lines. This was your greatest crime: Hunters chose to pursue your visions instead of protecting refugees, Titans assembled teams to chase the legendary Vault of Glass instead of striking the Fallen, and Warlocks turned away from the study of the Traveler in favor of your ultimate obsession… learning the exact nature of the Darkness.”

The Above words are a part of the card… a part which i really liked.

Understood, it obviously all comes down to how the opposing team plays and what weapons everyone is running with. (ex: If I were running with all distance weapons then all I would have to do is make it so you can’t get up-close-and-personal by either keeping my distance or by working with my teammates to kill you prior to you killing me.)

P.S.
The reason you have yet to see anyone get the Fate of All Fools bounty is because it isn’t obtainable yet. Awhile back, after the House of Wolves expansion was released, some Bungie help employee said the weapon isn’t obtainable; as to why we obviously don’t know, but with time I’m sure the weapon will be available for us to win!

Ah, but that all makes sense…
I personally didn’t care which element I rolled on the weapon, but, now that you mention that, I hope I too can get a solar burn Messenger!

See, I could understand where you’re coming from if we were referring to map Twilight Gap, but for Widow’s Court I can’t, but, like I said in my earlier post, everyone has their own opinion when it comes to the maps within any multiplayer and so I’m not trying to argue your reason(s).

Team and Lighthouse wise, I’ve been every week thus far multiple times and wouldn’t have any problem helping out a fellow HMB member. I know you said traveling to Mercury isn’t something that important to you and I highly believe in people earning their trip to Mercury, but you’ve already been once and so it isn’t like you’ve never been and would be getting something you have yet to earn yourself…

[details=Open Me]Flawless Runs:

  • Burning Shrine - 02x
  • Pantheon - 04x
  • Widows Court - 02x
    [/details]

I definitely wouldn’t mind having people to play with that don’t give up after two games.
Add me back if you want

Carry me because this weeks map is doo-doo.

Went flawless and didn’t get much of anything aside from some cool robes & the adept AR

I just need people who can communicate i have people i play muti with all the time but for some reason they cant get it together and tired of just giving away wins to less skilled players, have yet to reach a 9-0 reached 8 with losses but tired of trying.
