That will be good if it came to Linux
Welcome to the community.
WeMod creates trainers for platforms and games depending on their overall popularity among everyone that uses WeMod (and there are millions of them). It’s a democratic system that ensures we are spending resources and time on the things people want the most.
Linux is not really seen as a gaming machine by the vast majority of gamers. And Mac is also in the same boat. This is why there is a large hole in the availability of trainers for Linux and Mac operating systems across the internet (not just at WeMod).
It would be cool to support more operating systems. But WeMod needs to look at it from a business perspective - it is economical for the company? Should vastly more people decide to take up Linux in the future, who knows what could happen?
Since the SteamDeck is a Big thing and Linux Based, I don’t think that it’s too much of a stretch to make WeMod compatible with Linux. Overall popularity of the SteamDeck has surpassed many other gaming consoles, and now makes Linux a gaming machine. Just my opinion, I will use with Steam on my PC and hopefully it will overlap with what I see on my steamdeck.
Thanks!
There is an unofficial Steam Deck guide available from a third party. See more information here: https://community.wemod.com/t/we-need-wemod-on-steamdeck/323142/2?u=ravenfyre
There is absolutely no evidence of this. Valve has refused on multiple occasions to release accurate sales figures. It has released figures for units it has “shipped” - but shipping is not sales, that’s just the number distributed to storage warehouses (ie, Amazon).
PS5 sold 21 million units in its first year. Whereas Steam Deck is estimated to have sold between 3 and 4 million units in its first year. - Note this is “estimated”, because, again, Valve is being deliberately quiet about its true sales figures.
