i was able to play for a decent while but the game did still crash on me, dont really know if it was an isolated incident or not though since i havent tried again

Yes, I still have the Error too. It just stops after a few Minutes .
one weird thing ive noticed with the crashes is that the game seems to still be running fine behind the dialog box so you can finish what youre doing and save before closing the game so as not to lose progress.

If you could provide a save file in a location where it always crashes, and specify what you need to do to cause it, then I could fix it if I can replicate it.
thats the thing. the crashes are completely random they dont always happen in the same places they mostly seem to happen when transitioning in to battle or when going in to a menu
If I use the mode, I keep getting crash errors.
