Take some damage? That doesn’t seems right, because last version makes you takes no damage at all. Not once did my mech ever go yellow on any of its part while using the prev version’s Invicibility.
Something got changed somewhere, and someone is denying this.
Edit:
Reply from Roi from mod troubleshoot:
*Hi there. Our tester has confirmed that the latest version of the trainer is working as expected.
That’s actually how it’s meant to work — Unlimited Health doesn’t make your mech completely invincible, but it does give it a huge boost in HP so it’s much harder to take down. Let me know if you need any more help.*
That is how “invincibility” usually works for a lot of cheats, so it makes sense, but there’s still something off about the numbers. Finishing some of the game’s more bonkers story missions still ends with teeny repair bills, but before that there were none whatsoever.
Sounds like that aren’t any plans to further update that cheat though, so I’ll just carry on and appreciate that it works as well as it does already. Still beats having my assault lance shredded by a dozen vehicles manifesting from the aether like some WoBbie mad science.
Edit: Never mind, I get blown up by being shot in the back by instant reinforcements in the later story missions.
I also just remembered that Unlimited Health didn’t work the way the mod troubleshooter said: before the update, if you turned on the cheat after taking damage, incoming attacks actually healed you. It wasn’t a damage threshold, it was a damage reset.
More Edit: I just tried the Unlimited Health with pre-damaged sections, and front torsos, arms, and legs get restored by damage. The rear arc takes damage like usual. So the cheat is working like it did before (and is definitely not just an HP boost), but not all over.
Yeah, agree with SkilledString919. The Cheat option changed markedly compared to the earlier game version, and given how crap the lancemate AI is, it is really easy to get killed by friendly fire to the rear, or at least take significant damage that way, even more so than from enemies spawning in your rear.
Are they trying to gaslight us? I have never taken any damage front or rear, until the switch to Wand. If it’s not going to be updated to work properly, then just say so. No need to leave people hangin’.
dont know what Roi smoked, but regardless if its called “unlimited health” or “invincible” the effect is the same u dont die. what they did is just a “defence multiplier” without the option to choose by how much. similar to what they did for MWC.
after the update on steam Unlimited Health did not work. Played with some YAML mods. I deactivated the official Infantry mod and did not take any damage anymore. With the infantry mod activated i took some damage on the rear.
Unlimited Health and One-Hit Kills were only partially working after the latest update: Unlimited Health made incoming attacks remove all damage from your internals and armor, and One-Hit Kills made your attacks instantly strip all the armor from a target, but your lance’s rear armor locations and your enemies’ internal structure still took normal damage.
For now, it looks like both mods have been taken down, presumably until they’re either fixed or replaced with similar-functioning mods. If I had any programming chops myself, I’d be curious to know how an update apparently changed only specific damage calculations.
Really glad I didn’t explicitly say “it should not be removed from the mods entirely. It is still doing SOMETHING, just not what it says on the tin” because if I said that, and it were still removed completely, I would probably be SUPER annoyed.
Well, Roi closed my tickets and deemed the matter resolved.
Apparently its up to the trainer creator to remove a mod/trainer/cheat from the whole trainer if it is interfering with the whole trainer package. Then Roi say something about the game may have an AC component that is interfering with specific cheat. I dunno, it feels like a chat bot reply, other part it feels not.
I am afraid if I submit more ticket(s) complaining about the Inf Health or lack thereof, I am gonna get ban or suspended.
Let’s just see if the whole thing gonna get updated with a new version of 1-hit-KO and InfHealth/GodMode down the line. But with the trainer not listed on the Updating List, I doubt it.
Well, shoot. I’ve been considering the PRO subscription since WeMod/Wand has been working so well for me, and there’s obviously a lot of work that goes into it, but now I have to question the quality of their support. I’m not bothered by cheats breaking after a game update, or the mod makers having trouble fixing them - that’s just the reality of the modding scene - but the responses here the last couple weeks have been pretty dodgy:
1.) Claiming the broken cheats were fixed when they clearly weren’t.
2.) Claiming the broken cheats were working as originally intended when they clearly weren’t.
3.) Removing the cheats even though they were still MOSTLY working, instead of adding a note to them to indicate they weren’t fully functional.
4.) And now suggesting that MW5, which is co-op and not competitive, might be using anti-cheat measures that only partially break certain cheats (which is possible, but weird).
I have much more confidence in people who can admit to struggling with problems than those who sweep them under the rug. I guess it’s back to Nexus for a while then.
Well. No answer and the invincibility is down. It was playing just fine a couple of weeks ago. Guess I’m going to be using Plitch. It’s inconvenient turning the cheats off on their platform at the end of a mission but oh well. There’s am instant mech build cheat on there, that’s why I used it in conjunction with Wemod. Each platform has it’s advantages.
Any idea what mod at nexus can increase armor? I found one at Steam Workshop, but from the gist of the comments there, its not updated for SoK DLC yet.
There’s a “No Damage (godmode)” mod at Nexus that works for me with all DLC despite not being updated in a while. You have to restart the game whenever you toggle it though, which makes it much less convenient than Wand’s cheat.
Haven’t seen a good substitute for One-Hit Kills though, which wouldn’t be much of a problem except for defense missions when I’m fending off multiple lances raining LRMs down from across the map on some farmers’ shacks or such. I’ve rolled the mod version back to re-enable our wayward cheats, but even with armor depleting instantly, a lot of targets’ internals can eat an impressive stream of constant LB-X fire.
Edit: Thanks PP for the mention of Bobbert’s mod - I’ll check that out shortly.
checked what Parallel mentioned about the “mod option” mod but couldnt find the God mode part from it, but the mod from Nexus that Skilled mentioned works fine except u have to watch it with the MASC. once its gets in the red ur legs still take dmg.
