Microsoft is slick

Last night I downloaded the “Free to play” game called ‘Forza’. I started the game and used that orange McLaren that they love to show off in every video. Won my first race with it. After the race, they sent me to a screen wanting me to choose my career start off car.

I had to spend $2.99 to use something ( You HAVE to buy your first car) for a 3 day game that they were gonna take away from me on Monday. End of story cause I quit the game as soon as I seen that. Money is money and Im not about to be a sucker by buying something that Im not gonna be able to use. That’s like buying DLC for a game you don’t have… That’s really what it is 0_0.

i have the game and remember the sequence your speaking of but i was able to use in game credits not real currency to buy your 1st starting car… weird…

I just started the game, too, and I didn’t have to spend any money.

It let me get a free livery from the cloud, and then I just continued racing.

You only just realised there was a “catch”?!

Companies spend millions on advertising for a reason, it’s because it works… but you really sound surprised to discover this.

Everyone is good at wasting time and money, and not everyone can control their spending as well as others. Microsoft know this, and that’s why they will attempt to throw these kind of situations out there. Just be glad you didn’t buy like you said huh?!

Lol, I have to try this again.

Edit: I just got a car. I tried to buy the other “free” cars, but it always sent me to the transaction menu.

I knew something had to be up, i know there out to get everyone but that would just seem a bit excessive… glad it worked out for ya

That’s because you don’t have enough credits or tokens, just look at the amount you have and the cost of the item.

If you can’t afford it then it will open a menu for you to buy tokens.

I think if it says they are ‘FREE’ it’s means it’s a dlc car.

Dlc cars no longer cost in game currency to buy.

Thanks for the help. It’s an alright game. Not worth the $60, though.
