[/img]Minecraft Xbox 360 and all the rest of the popular sandbox game’s console ports will be getting a major update this week, according to a new update on the official Mojang blog. We don’t have a complete list of changes yet; however, even today’s minor update from the Minecraft team suggests a fair amount of content will migrate to Minecraft’s console ports this week.
To be clear, Minecraft Xbox 360 and Minecraft Xbox One won’t be the only versions seeing new content this week. In addition to the release of Title Update 25, 4J Studios will also publish Minecraft PS3 v1.17, along with an equivalent patch for Minecraft: PlayStation 4 Edition. All four of the updates will go live on Wednesday, July 1, just days before Microsoft and Mojang celebrate MineCon 2015.
This week’s Minecraft updates will bring some major changes to the various console ports of the game, including new flat world customization options and additional game options. Going forward, players will have additional difficulty options, more control over spawn points, the ability to change the weather and loads more. The latest Minecraft patch also brings over the classic crafting system that’s appeared in the PC build since Minecraft debuted back in 2009.
Minecraft Xbox 360 Title Update 25 also includes some new blocks and items that can be crafted by players. Beginning Wednesday, console Minecraft players will finally have access to Birch, Jungle, Oak and Spruce woods, which they’ll be able to use for doors, fences, gates and all the rest of the craftable wooden items currently found in Minecraft’s console ports. This week’s updates will also deliver stained glass, iron trapdoors, books and a variety of other items.
