Motherboard upgrade

I currently have this pos motherboard: ASUSTeK P8H61-M LX2 with my i5 2500k. This motherboard cannot handle overclocking and is by far the weakest component in my computer.

I was considering picking this up, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157293&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-PCPartPicker,%20LLC--na--na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=

Would I see any performance gains during gaming?

I’m also picking up a CoolerMaster Hyper 212 EVO because my cpu gets in the 80 degree range when gaming even with a case full of 7 80mm fans

They still sell Z77 MOBO? You won’t see much a performance gain regardless. The hyper 212 is a good cooler to start off with and alright for small OC. Luckily you are on one of the last CPU that used solder TIM instead of thermal compound so you could easily OC 4.5+. If you look around at hardforum you may find a z68/77 for $80 or so.

Do you have any other suggestions for a motherboard? and will I see any performance gains by installing a new mobo?

You won’t really get any performance jump from changing mobo. You are on a socket that is now 4 years old and no longer being used. I would save my money and jump to 1151 when you get enough for a new CPU and mobo. 1151 brought DDR4 ram also so you would need new ram.

I have been playing games and I keep getting this pop up message from my AI Suite II: Warning! +12V 10.176V

Low voltage reading is pretty weird, and I know AI Suite II is pretty buggy but still sorta scary

I would download HW monitor and see what voltages you are getting. A 17% deviation is not good and your psu could be going bad.
