Only can provide help for locks all i run, in game pointers depend on the class chosen they all play differently but i love my space magic… also when starting out dont fall in love with any gun or armor they all suck til you hit lv.20 and get yellow(exotic) and purple(legendary) and raid as soon as possible for best starter gear, VoG is very easy when run with destiny veterans.
I play as a Warlock and a Hunter but mostly Hunter both are 34 but JYD1433 pretty much sum it up and also use Destinylfg.net to find people to do high Level things with

I managed to get up to Venus by my self im now on level 9 but Venus is a bit more difficult
Raids are the 6 man fireteam missions VoG is the 1st located on venus then Crota on the moon. Its a multi challenge mode with big pay offs as in gear and weapons some still the best in the game. but you need to be a lv.26 i believe to start it on normal i’m sure Zodiac will explain better in chat.

Just so you’re aware of it, this game doesn’t truly begin until you reach Lvl. 20; another tip that someone mentioned but didn’t shed much light on. The reason the game truly doesn’t being until you reach Lvl. 20 is because majority of the good, major reward content requires you to be a certain level and until you reach that necessary level the content will remain locked. (ex: The Vault of Glass, the first raid you as a player are able to unlock, isn’t available until, I believe, Lvl. 26.) Now I’m not saying to rush through the earlier content so you can get to “better” content because you should take some time getting used to everything so when you are a higher level and trying to complete the harder content you are aware of everything in which others may be referring to. (ex: If you’re running as a Titan - Striker and someone asks if you have a certain perk equipped in your subclass, but you don’t know what they’re referring to.) Plus, Destiny isn’t a game in which you race through, it’s a marathon…those who are patient and put in the time/effort shall succeed in the end where as those who are expecting everything to happen in a timely fashion shall fail.
