NEW | Topic of the Month #4 - August 2015

We have all done it at some point in our lives. We have had to phone in sick somewhere for some reason. Some reasons are legitimate, others are, shall we say a little over exaggerated… I can personally say I have done so at school, work, and even on social occasions! Some I regretted and some I thought “What an idiot I was!”

I once called in sick to play a newly released game… Just… WoW!!!

What kind of sickness have you stated to a superior at work/school? Was is legitimate? What was your reason for doing so?

Hemateria

Do you know if its possible to change an account password i already have on my xbox say a friends account who’s no longer a friend?
I mean using horizon

It maybe better if you asked this question in the relevant section of the forums in future. You should receive the help and support you are seeking from there.

I’m not sure where to go for that…

lol i really do have Hematuria though scariest ****in thing ever

Yes, I illegitimately called out of work so I could go to a car show with a group of friends; I told my boss that I must have eaten something bad because I didn’t feel too hot to come into work. (Him knowing I had worked a 12-hour shift the previous day and only running off of fumes towards the end of the day probably helped with convincing him of my “illness.”) Obviously now I don’t approve of my actions, but it’s done and over with so why regret something in which you can’t change? Plus, that’s life…you live and learn; if life presents a similar situation and you follow through with the same action as before then you obviously didn’t learn from your previous mistake.

Like always, nice thread TROY!

This is a bit early, Troy.

I don’t think I have ever called in sick falsely, I am always truthful.

EDIT: This thread is now the August thread. It’s 00:00

When I was much, much younger I never called out of work even if I was sick. I wanted that $ and had big plans for it. Then I was self employed for many years, and you really can’t call out on yourself lol.

Over the past 8-9 years if I don’t feel like working a job or gig that I have lined up, I usually use the excuse that my son is sick, or that I have a doctors appointment that I forgot about. I pretty much still work for myself most of the time so this doesn’t happen often.
