The Coalition has revealed that 786,415 people played the Gears of War: Ultimate Edition beta.
There also were 41.2 million kills in the Gears of War: Ultimate Edition beta, which started June 15 and lasted eight days on Xbox One. from the multiplayer sessions, which added up to over 120 total years played.
Other notable beta figures for Gears of War: Ultimate Edition include over 1.6 million chainsaw kills, more than 1.7 million curbstomps performed and almost 6 million executions.

All those noobs with the lancer really pissed me off when i played it over at my friends house… Like that **** is too OP, they really need to nerf that man. People just sit back for days and spray the lancer.
Got hype for a second when i installed the beta, Played it got lamed out & remembered why GOW MP is hot garbage lol. That & i just flat out suck at GOW games online.
Cool, but I didn’t get to participate in the Beta. Then again, I wasn’t a huge fan of Gears of War being that I started playing the series at Gears of War: 2 where you could actually bounce off walls with ease so I guess I didn’t miss much.
I am happy to report, I didn’t notice any Elmer’s glue stuck to the walls during the beta. I think they managed to scrape most of it off.
Joking aside, I loved the beta. Played almost identical to GoW 1 mp, only difference was better graphics, weapon skins, & no crab walking/kung fu back flipping. Can’t wait to pick up this game!
Edit: my only problem with the beta was they disabled partying up with your friends before you searched for a game. It made it really difficult to play with friends…
Glad i didnt use my beta code GoW was awesome and all but reading some of the same problems that still existed over on 360 makes me not wanna play till maybe final game is done
almost every game i ended up in was nothing but spawn trapping teams (with hammer of dawn, torc bow and shotgun combo’s) who by day 6 were level 30-40 (seriously, it’s a beta not the full game) 2 games out of the dozen i played were normal games.
so chances are i won’t get it for multiplayer just co-op / single player
Back when the Gears of War: 3 Beta was out-and-about, there was a guy who achieved Lvl. 100; the one and only person at the time. With doing so, he was gifted exclusive treats from EPIC Games and was in the limelight for a good period of time throughout the gaming community. (ex: Interviewed by various companies, etc.)
