I used to be all about PlayStation but when the 360 came along, I was scarred for life. And to make matters worse, PlayStation exclusives started coming to Xbox which now has given me another reason not to buy one.
I can’t help but notice though that the PS4 seems to be doing very well at competing with the X1. Other gaming forums seem to have a slightly bigger population and more activity. When searching on Reddit, for example, for fire teams on Destiny, most are playing it on the PS4. PlayStation seems to focus more on fantasy and stunning lighting displays. While Xbox seems to be more about realism and jaw-dropping visuals, and if I’m honest, is what I more prefer.
I got no problems in owning both, but I want to make sure I really want one first and it won’t just sit there attracting dust. Please share with me your thoughts, opinions, and personal experiences you have had when using one.
nope… i owned one for about a year before trading it in for a WiiU “cause all it did was collect dust in my closet” most ps fanboys will tell you yes but its all hype, you’re much better off getting an XBone, same graphics, same everything, better controller, plus one day “hopefully” we’ll be able to mod on XBone, never gonna happen on ps4 as Sony is way too selfish.
Seriously, though. Even with all the great exclusive, nothing appeals to me. I own a Wii U. What games? None. I want Smash Bros, Hyrule Warriors, etc, but Xbox takes all my time.
I own a PS4. What games? The free PSPlus ones. I don’t have time to sit down and play The Last Of Us, or many of the exclusive games on PS4 by myself.
Xbox One on the other hand, all my friends own it and play on it.
The games on PS4 are also just as nice, I believe actually they compared both and PS4 hardware runs most games better and higher quality, but I just can’t switch because of the people I have on my Xbox.
Long run it’s up to you. You want the console, go for it. No one should decide for you.
Well it depends on what you wanna get it for like for me i got mine for the PS only games and i dont play it that much i play my X1 more, but i play Bloodborne and The Last of Us and Infamous 2 pretty much thats it on PS…untill maybe the new Metal Gear and Kingdom Hearts 3 and most of all Final Fantasy 7 but as of now i dont see owning a double copy of a game i own for two different systems but its really up to you and plus when i play PS and try to talk to people they dont ever say a word and i mean EVER but i know alot of people like to concentrate on games and not talk i am one of them so its really up to you if you think you will be happy with a PS go a head some really good exclusive are comming that way like Untill Dawn and God of War 3 remaster biggest question you got to ask yourself…will you play it more or less and also soon X1 is getting the Timed exclusive for Destiny PS4 got first so we will be seeing the new Hawkmoon 4th Horseman ect ect…and the new strikes when the new DLC drops in a few months
As for graphics its pretty much the same, As for exclusives it depends but im not amused by the Ps exclusives they’re mostly timed apart from some games, as for me its Xbox > PS
Ya i agree IMO i really do not see a differents in graphics it looks the same to me even when they say “oh this runs at 60fps or this runs at 30fps this is 1080p or blah blah” it just depends on what you like and as for me i say just get what you think you will play the most but eather way they both have their down sides the good and bad
I love my ps4. I haven’t touched my Xbox one in forever. Me personally, I find the Xbox one ui a bit cluttery. Ps4 dashboard is pretty much straight to the point on what you want to do. The controller as well was a big upgrade from the ps3 and I haven’t noticed any issues with live compared to the Xbox one. I seem to constantly get dropped from a party or experience lag on the dashboard or in a game. Only issue I have with ps4 is their downtime which seems like once a month. Which isn’t bad at all. Well that and the cheap little headset they give you. I enjoy using my Xbox one as a media controller for now. Just go to TV or Netflix using my voice. I am in no way a fanboy of PS4 either. I actually always loved Xbox. Sony just did right with the ps4
I don’t play games with anyone and if you are in the same position as I am in that regard, than I would buy a PS4. Xbox has lots of people, lots of players, but I think the PS4 technology is better.
I liked mine but I just sold it. The servers are ****ing horrible. I spend literally 5 minutes downloading a 50kb patch. I have a 50 mbit connection. The controller is uncomtorable imo but I really love the joy sticks and the pad thing as you can use it as a mouse pad basically for typing.
I did the 14 day trial for PSN and their servers were getting ddos’d from LS at the time so it was down for like atleast a week and they refused to give me a extra trial. Xbox gives you month trial and they would give you membership just for saying you’re canceling their memebership
PS4 has 1080 games though which x1 doesn’t? it’s quieter too.
I had both consoles btw since they’ve came out so I’m trying not to be bias’d. I never even really touched either becuase I play PC. Just wanted to leech mods when they came out on both and see which is better
