PSU Buzzing sound

I recently upgraded my build to a 780Ti Classified Kingpin, All was good except there was a slight buzzing sound coming from the psu it seemed. So tonight i decided to upgrade my psu and ended up grabbing a Corsair HX750i and it is doing the same thing but louder.
People say the sound comes from the gpu but to me it definately sounds like its the psu. I have tried running with 2 cables to the gpu (1x 8 pin, 1x with two 6+2) (2x 8pin cables, 1x 6+2)

Nothing changes it at all, Any idea what it could be? Did i pick up a dodgy psu or is it actually the graphics card?

Have you eliminated the factor of it being the GPU by running the computer without it?

On my old psu i had no buzzing sound at all but as soon as i upgraded to the 780ti its started buzzing. I thought it might not be able to handle the power of the card

Whatever you do, do not run it with 2 cables. The GPU has 3 for a reason, the kinpin cards are intended for water or LN2 cooling and can provide way more voltage than the standard cards.

Second the sound is more than likely coil whine from the GPU which is common. Load up a bechmark like heaven or catzilla and let it run for 24 hours. That will normally eliminate the coil whine. Generally EVGA won’t warranty it just because of a coil whine since it has affect on the way it preforms.

I was running it with 2 cables but i thought maybe using another cable would fix it and nope didnt change anything.
I’ll try running heaven for a few hours if i can see if it fixes it

Its just weird since upgrading to a better psu the buzz has gotten louder

If the buzzing was happening with the old PSU and the new one it is the GPU. As I stated before it is common for coil while to happen and will get worse when you put a load on it. As I also said please don’t try to run it with 2 cables again. It was intended to run with 3 and can cause a fire if ran with 2.

Ill hook my unit up to corsair link some time this week and see what it says there

I know after i put a GTX 970 in my computer, it was louder for a bit but now it is super quiet so might just be like that because it is a new piece in the puzzle
