Great Man, glad to see you might be getting a job in graphic design.
Strokes on text look pretty gross, also change the AA on the lower text because it’s pretty jagged.
Doesn’t really sell Red Bull very well if you get what I mean. It looks good, but nothing is happening.
It has no relation to RB ESports. The style doesn’t work for profession advertisement. There is far too much text on it also. The only advertisement for redbull isn’t even the focal point.
Hey, I don’t think it’s horrible…I just think you could have added a few other things to make it stand out and represent RedBull more.
01.) Redbull Logo
– When it comes to any company all they want to do is make sure you know it’s their brand behind whatever is being shown! Now, obviously, I don’t know a lot regarding photoshop, graphics, or advertising, but when one does see a company commercial/advertisement you do see their brand a lot. So, what I’m trying to say is, I’d add in the main RedBull logo throughout the graphic(s) in such a way the viewer doesn’t have to question which company is behind the work. (ex: Look at the Redbull vehicles and such, you know which company is behind that vehicle from a mile away because the logo is plastered all over the thing!)
02.) Redbull eSport Logo
– Since you designed a graphic involving Redbull’s eSport field why don’t I see their eSport logo anywhere? One, doesn’t see the logo that often when it comes to competitive Call of Duty, but I do know Redbull has their own, separate logo when it comes to eSports. [Sample Image]
The only reason I brought up competitive Call of Duty because you seemed to use an image in which Call of Duty was being played on the mainstage at a MLG event; Anaheim to be specific…OpTic Scumpii is on the main screen. [Image]
Like you’ve been told in the past from the various graphics artists on this website, you have skill and can improve with time…you just have to invest it! Thanks for sharing!
Everyone critisizing makes a great point Nick. As someone else said, too much text there’s no real focal point. And it just doesn’t ‘sell Rebull’.
Ads are something I don’t even do, not my style. A lot tends to go on in my work, so there’s subliminal-ish(adjective?) details in it. Which is the opposite of what you want in an advertisement.
This is not an advertisement design everyone. This is a Twitter rebrand for them, this is their Twitter, http://www.twitter.com/redbullesports
As you can tell they have no logo, so I did not use one. They aren’t trying to sell anything so I did not add a focal point. The extra text is just their quote in their Twitter bio.
Include the players they sponsor on it, Flamesword and NaDeSHoT.
How are you going to leave Enable and Walshy out?
You did add a focal point as soon as you added all that text right in the middle. Nothing there relates to redbull or esports. Even though they don’t have a big redbull logo it is still advertising. Every single one of the people in their current one has some sort of redbull apparel and they are all related to online gaming.
If you get the job hit me up with some free redbull.
Looks good to me tho.
Regardless if it’s an ad its still a graphic for a company and it needs a focal point. All art should have some focal point. This is Redbull’s eSports account, keyword Redbull. You want to represent the Red Bull company, yeah the original didn’t have a logo but maybe thats why they’re getting another one made. You want to represent the company regardless if its an ad or not.
Ian? Also I don’t know who Walshy is sorry.
You don’t know who Walshy is…?
Geez, you can tell who came to MLG after CoD came onto the circuit.
Yes, Ian, the guy who filled in for Karma at ESWC and GFinity prior to UMG California…
Man do I miss Halo being on the MLG Circuit…
Granted competitive Halo is making a come back, it’s just sad knowing MLG won’t have two shooters on the circuit.
Halo > Call of Duty
For Knowing Walshy
Man I used to play Halo 2 and 3 with Phurion and StrongSide back in the day. Occasionally Walshy would get on.
Sorry I started watching in BO2, and only watch games that interest me.
Yeah I know who he is, I thought you might have been talking about someone from a different game called Enable because there isn’t anything on his twitter or anything about RB sponsoring him.
I’ll make a new design, taking in all the advice. I thank all of you who do even look at my designs. Cody you are a huge help, and I thank you.
Also please stay on topic guys
