Unfortunately, we don’t control the queue. it’s controlled by pro members and their boosts.
The Sid Meier’s Civilization VII cheats have been updated!
Changes:
- Bug fixes and game compatibility improvements
The game will crash even without injection of cheats, i think the game detects wemod program itself.
Finally, WeMod is working properly—just had to follow their instructions, save, and restart the game. I also changed the file extension in the game directory, which isn’t strictly necessary but helps prevent crashes.
Note: Avoid opening the WeMod overlay—it’s the main cause of crashes.
Units still turn invisible when moving a tile.
Ime still crashing after following instructions. Locks up mostly on the end turn.
Civ 7 just does that, even when WeMod hasn’t even been loaded up. Unfinished game etc
Tried without mods, and they’re well-animated, so I don’t know what you’re talking about.
If the units appear invisible right after activating the cheats, all you need to do is save your game and restart it. As I mentioned earlier, the freezing issue is caused by the Firaxis file in the game directory. Simply change its extension from “.exe” to “.bak.” Why? The game will recognize the file but won’t run it.
Before the wemod update, only influence and gold were affected—and that too only sometimes. For me, it’s been working perfectly now, even with all the cheats enabled.
One very important detail: don’t let the wemod overlay run alongside the game or have it open automatically when wemod starts. When I launch the game, I also open the task manager to prevent the game from crashing. The procedure is simple: after modifying the file in the game directory, follow the wemod instructions. Note that sometimes the cheats might not show up immediately at the end of your turn; if that happens, continue with your routine, as they typically appear after the end of the second turn.
I noticed that after activating the cheats, wemod and the game might not run smoothly—the units remain invisible. However, by saving and closing both the game and wemod and then restarting just the game, everything returns to normal, but now only with the cheats activated.
Hope this helps!
That doesnt give you the unlimited movement if you restart it.
There was a minor update for Civ 7 within the last 12 hours, and with mods enabled, there are random crashes. There’s still no update regarding the invisible troops issue.
- Yes, I followed the instructions: launched the game, loaded my save, started the mods, and ended the turn.
- I also renamed the .exe file to .bak on the Firaxis executable.
The troops still become invisible after a few turns. This has been happening since the game’s launch. Now, after this small update, there are additional random crashes.
I can’t reliably reproduce the crashes, but they only seem to happen when cheats are enabled. I tested the game with cheats on, and it crashed randomly. However, when I played a new game without cheats, there were no crashes, and the troops remained visible.
So, it seems the issue is entirely caused by the mods.
2K now closes the game and sends you to a page that tells you you are naughty because you have software installed that may violate their user agreement(wemod). This occurs even if you have wemod running in the background but cheats aren’t even turned on. Is there a workaround for this? Is this the “random crashes” that people are experiencing but just not reading the brower page that it brings them to after the “crash”? Is this the crash that is fixed by changing the file name to .bak?
Doesnt work at all. At least up today.
Yes doenst work anymore. i used the instruction but after the round … game crashes
Are you using the mods on a multiplayer/co-op mode?
I truly just want the gold to work, and it doesnt. Any help would be great
i have been using wemod for some time but never have i posted a comment, or at least, that i can remember. anywho, for those people claiming its the game not the mods and the game crashes from being released incomplete:
no, its the mods. i used wemod once when they got cheats for this game. however, like everyone, my game would crash and bring me to their terms of fair play page. but, i havent had any problems, crashing or the like since since then. how? heres how:
unless you do something special to get wemod cheats to work without crashes or invisible units or other annoying gltiches, just turn wemod off. seriously. love this game and have been playing it mods free since these mods first were released. zero issues. this tells me its not actually the game, but you attempting to cheat in the game that causes issues.
dont get it twisted, once i beat a game , or if it has a solo play option, i turn cheats on. i love wemod! but this game is also really EASY and fun without cheats. yeah, cheats would make things easier like getting my leader to max level faster. but you dont really need them to have fun.
i havent tried changing the file from exe to a .bak yet and i most likely will not. maybe that will work for some but the game noticing wemod and crashing is enough annoyance for me to not use wemod for this game.
great game that needs zero cheats for you to be over powered as hell once you learn ![]()
I haven’t heard such nonsense in a long time.
If the game crashes, it’s the game’s fault. Simple as that. It might be caused by WeMod modifying something, but the game should be able to handle that without crashing.
Not to mention, this isn’t even a real crash, most likely. And it’s definitely something the devs are aware of, considering their response is to automatically open a browser leading to their website.
I have no idea why you care so much about people using cheats. How someone plays the game is none of your business. Play however you want, but don’t preach to others. Do you have some kind of complex?
The game clearly detects this and reacts accordingly, so I doubt we can even call it a crash.
Any application—any at all—should be designed to be stable and not crash. Of course, issues happen, but they should be minimized. However, in this case, that’s not even the issue.
So, I see your post as both arrogant and completely ignorant.
The biggest problem here is that developers are overstepping boundaries. Opening a web page just because of some error or whatever? I won’t even say what I think about them for doing this. It’s a major security risk and should never happen.
Thank you for saying this.
Civilization update 1.1.0 is out, and as expected, a few cheats are now broken, including:
- Instant Civics
- Set Influence
But what’s really frustrating is that the visual bug with invisible troops is still not fixed. This issue has been there since day one, and it’s beyond disappointing that it’s still being ignored. And no, this isn’t the game’s fault. I’ve tested and beaten the game both with and without cheats, and the bug only happens when WeMod is running, even if no cheats are activated yet.
An immediate fix for both the broken cheats and the long-standing visual bug would be greatly appreciated.
