I’ trying to edit the amount of gold I have, but It won’t work. I look for the amount of gold I have through the Hex Editor, and when ever I change it and go back to playing, It goes way. Is there something I’m doing wrong.

Sounds like a checksum to me
So when you save it corrupts? Providing you are doing it right it sounds like you are then there is most likely a checksum

i noticed it matters how much gold you put in barrel. i put 1100 in and it didnt work so i put 1470 and it worked great… easy to do hope that helps. also make sure when you replace your extrated save that you save rehash and resign it…make sure barrel is empty when you put the money in and you also still have some money in your inv…

i used the barrel method but the first time i tried i put all my money in and when searching for it i only got the string for in the general stats list for total gold or most gold at one time
i tried again and put all but 1 gold in and it worked perfectly
