Some photos I did for a client, Audi A4

Did these for my friend who wanted prints for his garage. Got before and after shots. If you want the PSDs to learn I’ll upload em, but they’re huge. Audi A4

All photos taken by me on my Nikon D3500

Awesome man, you must love having a job that suits the art you love doing and also involving cars, huh?

Yeah, I’m happy with it. I didn’t go to school for this stuff so its nice building a resume until I do so if I decide too.

Yeah I have no education in design so it is pretty hard for me to get a job in Graphic Design, but also another factor is that I am only 17.

Is that car plasti dipped or is just a flat color?

I have to ask him, but I think its vinyl wrapped.
Edit: Yeah its vinyl.

Plasti dip looks about the same, i’m pretty sure up close you could notice a huge difference though.

Plasti dip has a different feel too.
Vinyl is more pricey but in the end does look better IMO.

Man, something about an Audi with a roof rack/box just looks good!
…must be the manufacturer. Lol

Thanks for sharing.

You don’t really need education to get a graphic design job, the only reason to get an art degree is for a graphic design firm. I’ve had a job for about a year now (I landed it when I was 19) and it all came from my portfolio.

A tip is to not focus on forum graphics and apply yourself to real world stuff like web design, marketing design etc… A good example of this is Twitch:

Open Me

Nothing in the requirements requires a degree. The only thing you need is a solid professional client portfolio which you probably don’t even need, you just need to show you know what you’re doing.

On topic though, them photos look pretty sweet. I’ve been thinking about getting into to photography for awhile now but seeing the prices on some of the good lens… oh god.

Exactly what I tell people, I stopped trying to do forum signatures and what not because I realized they aren’t really going to help my employment nor the skills and techniques you use to make signatures isn’t really going to help you in a graphic design job. Also stick to one thing and work at it. It’s better to make great pieces with Photoshop rather than using Cinema 4D to add 3D text and renders and what not. Because again that’s not gonna help you land a job in that profession. People who hire those who are good with Cinema 4D aren’t looking for people who make 3D text and those geometric renders, the program is for 3D modeling and with those items you’re barely scratching the surface. Using Cinema 4D for that you’re of “art” is like using Photoshop to crop a photo. The tool is capable of so much, much more and using it for things so trivial doesn’t look good to an employer. The same with signatures. You won’t land a graphic design job with a portfolio full of smudged signatures. Regardless how good they are.

Design logos and websites and brochures. Those are in demand nowadays.

Also Hova, photography is fun and easy to get into. Equipment is expensive but other than that all you need is a good eye for art and a creative mind which most graphic designers have. Start doing photo edits with your iPhone camera, that’s how I got started. Then once you get emotionally invested in it start saving for equipment. Buy used first of course.
